What a wonderful place! We stayed here for 5 nights in both a garden and ocean view villa. Both have their own charm, the garden villa is very private and has little to no wind, the ocean view villa has a beautiful view over the water and more wind. The staff is very friendly and helpful and really tries to make you feel at home...
We tried all restaurants, they all have their own atmosphere and it gives a good variety of different kitchens. Bamboo has this nice eating on the beach atmosphere, aquapazza has the best pasta arrabiata of the island, Umi has perfect schezuan style food and don’t miss out on the tomahawk at the Beau Champ. If you are a golf lover there are 2 perfect courses to play, one advice, book in advance as we were quite late it was difficult to get a good starting time. We will definitely come bank!
What a wonderful experience FourSeasons at Anahita is from arrival to departure. Nothing is too much trouble, all needs cared for with kindness and professionalism. Food continues to improve with more and more choice ...
Villas spotless and beds heavenly!!
A classical example of being a victim of your own success. We have traveled to quite a few Four Seasons resorts around the world, and I have to say that Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita was great, but not as great as its peers.
Small, but slightly shocking mishaps here and there were slowly piling up to leave a feeling of negligence and unprofessionalism, and the pampering feeling that we're used to was sort of lost in the few days we spent there.
For starters, I don't recall the last time I've asked for shampoo from any hotel, but I guess there's a first time for everything...
When I flagged it to their staff, they replied that the shower gel can be used as shampoo as well! Only when I complained, they sent the shampoo over. The staff was sometimes slow to respond in some of our requests (possibly due to the high travel season, the hotel was fully booked), and some requests were never followed through till the end and we had to ask multiple times.
Fortunately, these small annoyances didn't spoil the mood too much. It's safe to say that the resort is quite beautiful and charming. The landscape, quality of food and the rooms are exquisite. The staff always replied and delivered, and were overall very helpful and kind.
Overall, a great place to spend an unforgettable holiday.
This is our 4th holiday at the Four Seasons Anahita Mauritius, and it has been quite a disappointment in some key areas. There are many strong elements; the staff are friendly and eager to help, the setting is fabulous and Ile au cerf remains a fabulous place to spend the day.
However there are some areas which have seriously deteriorated since we were last here 9 years ago...
The golf at Anahita is shambolic. Impossible to get tee times in the morning, even a week out and the service in the pro shop is frankly shocking. The worst we’ve experienced in Mauritius. There is no guarantee of a buggy and if you do get one it is incredibly old. My guess is that the Anahita Golf Resort are selling the prime morning tee times to other guests and players who stay elsewhere and pay a full green fee to play. Our golf should be included but getting a tee time is not straight forward, In fact it’s quite stressful.
The next disappointment has been the restaurants. Although the breakfast at Bamboo is very good indeed, other meals at the new Asian restaurant and Beau Champ were underwhelming. Starters at all of the restaurants are quite bland and obviously all pre-prepared cold dishes. Choice is limited and there is no opportunity to eat Mauritian or Indian food, as there was previously. I think the hotel’s catering manager needs some help, because the food was previously a strong point of the hotel. Sadly that’s not the case now. Overall, this is a good hotel with many strong points. Sadly, on the strength of this current stay the Four Seasons is no longer a great hotel and so it’s unlikely we will be back again for a 5th holiday.
Special thanks must go to Vinay Erkadoo the Front Desk Manager who worked very hard to assist us as best he could with the golf issues we experienced. Four Seasons Quality Control at HQ in Toronto : Sort out the golf issues and improve the restaurants or you will see a decline in cux satisfaction and ultimately bookings.
Superb grounds and villa. Staff extremely attentive. Lagoon beach so doesn’t enjoy the stunning beaches Mauritius has to offer...
It’s perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday. Not much in the way of evening entertainment -although we may have missed it. The only real criticism is that it is very overpriced.
