LUX Belle Mare

We had an absolutely wonderful honeymoon at LUX* Belle Mare, and what really made our stay exceptional was the incredible staff. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt genuinely welcomed and looked after. There are so many people who deserve a special mention.

Nitin gave us a brilliant cocktail-making class, which was such a fun and memorable experience. Vijay, the head of the bar, was incredibly funny, warm and welcoming and always made us feel at home whenever we visited.

Rati was an exceptionally attentive waitress who consistently went the extra mile for us. Her kindness and attention to detail really stood out.

A huge thank you also to Purran and Mahabeer, the incredibly skilled Indian chefs. The food was fantastic, and they were more than happy to make adjustments for us. We really appreciated the care they took in making sure everything suited us while still producing some amazing dishes.

Jennifer, the Celebrations Coordinator, was fantastic throughout our honeymoon. She was extremely organised in arranging all of our honeymoon-suite perks, gave us plenty of time and opportunity to decide what we wanted, and was very informative about things to see and do around Mauritius. She made the whole experience feel special without ever making us feel rushed.

Our room was always beautifully looked after by Pinky, who kept everything fresh, spotless and welcoming throughout our stay. She was extremely attentive and made coming back to our room each day a pleasure. Hurrish, the Head of Housekeeping, even personally came to our door to make sure that everything was okay, which really demonstrated the level of care shown by the team.

We also loved visiting Maison LUX*. Bilal showed us how the coffee was made, prepared some excellent frappés for us and was always friendly and knowledgeable. He also gave us some really helpful advice ahead of checkout, which we greatly appreciated.

Finally, Elvis made both our check-in and checkout incredibly easy and stress-free. After a long journey, having such a smooth welcome was exactly what we needed, and the same level of service continued right through to our departure.

What stood out most about LUX* Belle Mare wasn’t simply the beautiful resort, but the people. The staff didn’t just provide good service — they made us feel genuinely cared for and turned our honeymoon into something we will remember for the rest of our lives.

We keep returning to Lux Belle Mare because the hotel is simply amazing. The staff, the food, the facilities, the kids club, the pools and the beaches are all fantastic.

From the moment you arrive the staff at reception help you to relax.

The food choice is great and the restaurant staff are attentive and helpful. The children’s food section is always freshly stocked with a great variety of foods little ones actually eat and at children’s level too allowing them to serve themselves.

The gym and spa are both well laid out with great facilities, perfect for trying something new/simply relaxing.

Nothing is too much trouble for the villa team, Mahen, Kumar & Benji are incredibly professional, kind and helpful. We cannot thank them enough for all their help every year we visit.

Transfers are easy and straightforward too so getting to and from the airport is a breeze. The hotel is always immaculate, the maintenance and cleaning staff and friendly and professional.

We would highly recommend the hotel.
