The hotel lies on a private beachfront estate known as Balaclava along Turtle Bay, ideally located between Port Louis (12 km) and Grand Bay (12 km), on the north-west coast, which is known for its good climate. New trunk roads provide easy access to the hotel. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is approximately 60 km from the hotel.
This hotel is a luxurious beach resort and spa of the highest international standard, picturesquely framed by a 25-hectare green tropical garden and nature park and flanked by the Indian Ocean. Its remarkable setting overlooks the most enchanting Turtle Bay. The hotel is a perfect blend of tropical and colonial architecture which provides an elegant background for a sophisticated and yet utterly relaxing holiday, thanks to the unequalled multitude of sports and leisure facilities available. Renovated in 2009, this charming beach hotel has a total of 215 guest rooms. The premises are air-conditioned and guests are welcomed in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Facilities include a hotel safe, currency exchange, hairdressing salon and a games room. Younger guests can let off steam in the children's playground and kids' club. There is also a bar at the resort. Conference facilities are available to business travellers and all guests can take advantage of the WLAN Internet access provided. Furthermore, room and laundry services are on offer (fees apply). Those guests who are arriving by car may park their vehicle in the hotel's car park. Bicycles can be hired for a fee from the hotel.

Fourth return trip to Maritim!
We had an absolutely fantastic time at Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius! From the moment we arrived until the end of our stay, the warm hospitality and incredible service made our trip truly special. Balaclava is a really nice part of the island with good beaches.
A massive thank you to the catering and restaurant teams who took such great care of us at every meal. Special shoutouts to Deven, Vimla, and Danette—your genuine warmth, attention to detail, and top-tier service made every dining experience a highlight.
Our children had the absolute best time at the Kids Club thanks to ReineClaude. Their enthusiasm, energy, and care made our kids feel completely at home, allowing us to truly relax knowing they were in great hands. (The football; henna tattoos; archery; animal farm with the giant tortoise etc were amazing!)
The staff at Maritim Resort & Spa really set it apart. We can’t wait to return!
25th wedding anniversary treat 15/10
my wife and me stay here in july. it was our 25th wedding anniversary. i thought i would just drop you a message to say how much we enjoyed our stay. our welcome was awesome. they upgraded us to a cottage bungalow with our own pool. room 283. it was fab. the room service was brill. the staff were great in every part of the complex. all the restaurants were top dollar. the spa was great. location spectacular. sunsets out of this world. we cant thank you guys enough. The best experience. Massage was the best, Kushi was fantastic and Anisha is the most welcoming host. The best spa in Mauritius!
Holiday
The facility is super nice, very big and the animals are very cute. The staff is friendly, always reliable and helpful. Even in cases of illness, they are constantly looking for one. The activities that you can do are very diverse and fantastically beautiful. A holiday here is strongly recommended.
Yoga at Maritim resort
Our experience with the yoga sessions at Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius was absolutely outstanding, all thanks to Manoj. I attended the sessions with my daughters, and even though we were all at completely different experience levels, Manoj handled it perfectly. He is incredibly patient, welcoming, and knowledgeable, tailoring his guidance so that each of us felt both comfortable and challenged. Practicing under his expert care in the tranquil resort gardens was a true highlight of our family holiday. If you are staying at the resort, you absolutely cannot miss his classes!
