We had a lovely dinner at Bisou. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great, but what really stood out was the service. Veer, our waiter, was absolutely fantastic—so friendly, attentive and welcoming, and he made our evening even more enjoyable. He really went above and beyond. Thank you, Veer, for making our dinner so special! We’ll definitely be back. ❤️
We absolutely loved our stay at LUX* Grand Baie.
The service was fantastic, especially from Gael, who was absolutely brilliant. He looked after us every day and always paid attention to the little details, which made our stay feel very special.
Our villa was spotless every day, and we really appreciated the excellent housekeeping.
We also loved the team at the Boathouse. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, especially Michael, who made our time there even more enjoyable.
The food was delicious, particularly the breakfast, which we really enjoyed every morning.
The beach was beautiful, and the snorkelling was one of our favourite experiences. We saw lots of fish and had so much fun in the water.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience at LUX* Grand Baie. The resort is beautiful, but what really made our stay memorable was the warmth and friendliness of the people. We would definitely love to come back.
Absolutely loved this hotel! The atmosphere, service and quality were amazing, and the design is beautiful and very stylish. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Definitely one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. You can feel the quality in every detail. Special thanks to Abishek at the restaurant, who was always so attentive and helpful, and to concierge Christopher, a real magician who somehow made everything possible and was always there to help. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!
We had a wonderful four-night stay at LUX* Grand Baie, and what made it truly special was the incredible team who went above and beyond to make our 17th wedding anniversary memorable.
When we first arrived, I was honestly a little deflated as I hadn’t been given the suite I had specifically requested. I had mentioned when booking that this was a special trip to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary, so I had hoped it might be acknowledged at check-in. Our first suite was elegant and beautiful, but unfortunately had no view. I didn’t want to make a fuss, but eventually decided to speak to Guest Relations.
This is where Brinda deserves a very special mention. She listened to me, understood how I felt and was absolutely amazing in helping us move to a beautiful room with a view. Her kindness and genuine care completely changed the start of our stay.
We then met Lutchmee, the Hospitality Manager, at breakfast and explained what had happened. She was absolutely wonderful and went out of her way to make our anniversary special. She organised a beautiful evening for us, including a lovely cocktail at Bisou and making sure we had some fizz to celebrate. A very special shout-out to Ismail, who went completely out of his way to make sure our anniversary evening was perfect. His warmth, attention to detail and genuine effort really meant a lot to us and made our celebration even more memorable. Romain, Veer, Nishita and Abishek were also fantastic and helped make our stay so enjoyable. We even had a fun game of dominoes with Axel and Jennifer, which added to the lovely memories we are taking home with us. The food was absolutely fantastic throughout our stay. We particularly loved the à la carte dining concept. Having food freshly prepared and ordered from a menu rather than having a large buffet meant everything felt fresh, carefully prepared and much more personal. We also really appreciated that it helped avoid the amount of food wastage you often see with buffets something that really stood out to us.
It was also such a lovely surprise to meet Executive Chef Lorraine, who is from Scotland like us! She was absolutely lovely, warm and approachable, and it was wonderful to have that little Scottish connection while we were so far from home.
Overall, every member of staff we met made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The hotel itself is beautiful, the food is exceptional, the service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is wonderful. What could have started as a slightly disappointing arrival turned into such a special and memorable stay, largely because of the people who took the time to listen and make things right.
Thank you to the entire LUX Grand Baie team for helping us create such beautiful memories for our 17th wedding anniversary. We had a fabulous time and would absolutely recommend LUX Grand Baie. ️
Such wonderful holidays with family! We enjoyed the beach, the spa, our rooms. Friendly service, everything was very well looked after. Thank you team! Such an amazing view at Bisou. Sooo lovely! We spent an afternoon around the infinity pool and had lunch at the in-water table, so much fun there. Just loved it! Want to come back! See you soon!
