Dining at night, looking out over the ocean and taking your time over the delicious fresh food has to be a highlight of any holiday, and it's something you can enjoy throughout your stay at the Veranda Paul and Virgine Hotel when you dine at the Isle de France main restaurant, a buffet restaurant featuring international and traditional Mauritian dishes. The beach restaurant, offers incredible seafood dishes and Veranda Resorts’ signature dishes and also features a beach bar. The main bar overlooks Gran Gaube lagoon and is the perfect place to wind down in the evening.
The beach is a big part of holidays to Mauritius, and guests at the Veranda Paul and Virgine Hotel have access to one of the prettiest - so much sun, so much soft white sand...
There are two excellent swimming pools at the heart of the resort. And some very elegant, very comfortable sunbeds set up around the hotel, so you can claim your place in the sun and top up your Mauritius tan.
There's a real emphasis on comfort in all of the comfort rooms with a balcony or terrace offering magnificent sea views. Relaxing and enjoyable
The hospitality made us feel special and welcomed the moment we arrive at the hotel. Its a really calm and peaceful hotel where all the staffs are incredibly helpful and always there for us with a big smile. The food is just delicious with a great variety of choice at every buffet. Paul et Virginie is a hotel to be recommended to others!
Lovely Mauritian Stay
Hotel lovely, very calm and welcoming on arrival. Very clean throughout. The rooms were very comfortable and furnished nicely, all with views of the sea! Staff were very lovely, attentive and polite. Make an effort to chat with them as they are wonderful people and nothing is too much to ask. They try to make sure you are having the best possible time. Lots of activities to join in with each day which are included. The boat house in particular, where you can use kayaks, pedalos etc for free was great. There was entertainment and music each night. Food has been great for us. Each day was different, good variety and you didn't feel like you were eating the same thing over and over! We enjoyed the beach restaurant for lunch each day. Everything is fresh! Location wise, it's situated in a small fishing village, the locals were friendly. There are buses and the hotel can arrange taxis but bear in mind it is not close to any big attractions. There is some road noise in the hotel rooms but this can't be helped and did not bother us at all. If you're looking to relax even more, make use of the on-site spa, prices are very reasonable, often with special deals and the staff were lovely. Overall, we had an amazing stay thanks to Veranda Paul! Special mention to Lulu, the stray dog that lives in the hotel grounds. It was nice to see her being treated kindly by other guests and staff.
