I don’t know where to start. We are on our last day and can’t thank the team enough for making our family holiday so relaxing and enjoyable. Everything is covid safe and it didn’t impact our holiday at all. The food was delicious and options for all ages, the beach is stunning and the water sports were a highlight for the kids and the spa/massage was a highlight for me...
Whilst every single staff member was great I have to give a special mention to front of house Ravi who showed the best customer service we have ever experienced, he was everywhere and always went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Hopefully we will return to Mauritius one day and this hotel will be the only option for us.
We stayed at Victoria Beachcomber for a 14-day quarantine. We had no reason to worry as the staff at Victoria made sure that every little thing was taken care of. Not this was during the time when guests were not allowed to leave the room due to Mauritius' previous Covid regulations.
The room itself was very spacious...
We had plenty of space to move around, had a seating area for us to have food and a working area for us to work remotely. The bed was very large and comfortable. There was a large outdoor veranda with tables and chairs where we enjoyed our breakfasts and lunches. There was a nice garden with plenty of trees and birds - and we had a good view of the beach and sea. The room was very clean and it was clear that it was thoroughly sanitised before our arrival. We were provided with cleaning equipment for our stay.
The customer service was amazing. Staff at Victoria went above and beyond to make sure guests were happy and comfortable. They always serve you with a smile and no request was too big for them. They were super helpful and provided us with tables and chairs to be able to work remotely; they took care of our food requests and offered alternatives when we wanted; they always checked up on us to see how we were doing - couldn't fault the customer service at all.
Despite it being a quarantine, the food we were given were 5-star hotel quality. There was plenty of food and it was all very delicious. The food was always well presented as well. At Victoria hotel, the minibar was included in the rate (at the time when we stayed there) and the hotel staff replenished the minibar with everything that we needed everyday (juices, soft drinks, biscuits, chocolates) - which is something most other hotels were not doing during the quarantine.
They also arranged for some entertainment for us to watch from our rooms - there were some live local music and live dances on a few days - which was a bonus and something we all needed during quarantine.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay - it felt more like a holiday than quarantine and that's all thanks to the amazing staff at the hotel. If we have to go through quarantine again, we will definitely choose Victoria Beachcomber again. Either way, we plan to visit the hotel again when things go back to normal as well.
We arrived at the Le Victoria Hotel Beachcomber resort @ spa Mauritius on the 7th August for a 14 days quarantine. On arrival we were nicely greeted and offered a welcoming cocktail. As we look around while enjoying the cocktail we were amazed with the splendid view of the swimming Pool blending into the ocean. We were then taken to our modern , beautifully decorated spacious room complete with all the necessary amenities. During our 14 days stay the staff in all departments were really helpful, pleasing and extremely professional. Nothing we asked were a burden to them and always willing to satisfy us which was beyond our expectations. This really was a memorable, fantastic experience from start to finish even despite being in quarantine we were treated with due care and respect at all times. Just to mention a few of the outstanding professionals Ms Sonia Duval,Rooms Divisional Manager and Mr Anil Chayetun head of house keeping who carry out their excellent job in organising and maintaining their day to day extremely high standards of cleanliness and hygiene protocols. Mr Pradeep who is responsible for the cleaning of the bedrooms and housekeeping to a superb standard. Chef Nived who is responsible for the daily marvellous and enticing food preparation throughout the hotel. Mr Swadesh supervisor of the restaurants always approaching his guests in a most courteous, respectful and pleasing manner. We could go on and on but finally we are thrilled by the customer services application to their duty which they carry out with utmost dedication and diligence at the hotel without fail at all times. Overall our stay was well above and beyond our expectations and the services received at the wonderful resorts can be only be described as outstanding We highly recommend this hotel to any interested individuals or parties.
The place you want to spend your quarantine. It didn't even feel that we were quarantined as we had all the necessary amenities and needless to say that the food was absolutely delicious! Room service and mini bar service were fantastic too and Victoria never fails to bring on the authentic as well as the continental style to its visitors. The price was also great for the stay and if I get the opportunity to spend some holidays, Victoria will indeed be my number one choice. The personal was also great and very welcoming...
They were not only helpful but they made you feel part of the family and you were always welcomed with a nice smile (though less visible behind the mask but as they say, the eyes never lie..) A very special thanks to the best barman there, Mr Vimal, whose cocktails and style of service was excellent! I will can only recommend Victoria to anyone willing to have a stay in the paradise island.
