The Heritage Le Telfair Golf and Wellness Resort benefits from an amazing spa facility – one of the most indulgent facilities on the island. Enjoy a range of treatments, all designed to make you feel wonderfully relaxed. You can also try tai chi or get your body into a more natural relaxed state with a yoga session. You'll also love to lounge by one of the beautiful swimming pools (main pool heated in winter season). That classic nineteenth-century colonial style extends to the guests' rooms too. The air-conditioned rooms are bright and spacious with delightful views out over the gardens. Truly beautiful hotel situated right on a picture perfect beach. Hotel grounds are lovely and well kept. We stayed in a junior suite were the room from our room was WOW talk about a room with view. We ate at the c beach club which was nice and lunch at the la palmier which was delicious . We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary , special thanks has to go Melvin who helped us with everything we needed. Spicy and Ademola from the cavendish bar who really made us feel Welcome with a smile, chat and laugh every day. And Venna who greeted us with a smile and friendly chat every morning at breakfast. I stayed here for 10 days, and it was a fantastic experience. Being in Bel Ombre, the vibe was relaxed, and the resort itself was really idyllic. I stayed in a beach-view room, and it was spectacular. The rooms were big, and the bathroom area was perfect. I loved the colonial-style housing, but if that isn't your taste, a 5-minute walk would take you to the more African-style Awali resort (which is essentially part of the same resort as the Telfair one). Noor, who helped make sure that I had everything I needed, whether that was anything to do with the room, booking taxis, or booking restaurants or just anything in general, was excellent. The level of service he provided was one of a kind and made the trip truly special.
The activities (the activity centre and C beach) and the staff there were some of the best parts of this trip. They offered a variety of activities; many were free, and those that required payment were fairly priced. I would like to give thanks to Jeremy, David, Lionel, Kenny, and Joanne, who were absolutely fantastic and friendly.
However, a big special thanks to Jordan and Shania. I met them early on in the trip, and they were the most welcoming people I have met while travelling (albeit Mauritians in general are some of the friendliest people I have met). Jordan held the bike tour, which was amazing. He was informative and enthusiastic about sharing his culture with me. I really valued a tour like this from a local Mauritian, as if I had stayed in the hotel, I wouldn't have learnt so much about the deep-rooted culture within Mauritius. Shania and Jordan were also there when I did the bamboo fishing (which was something I had never done before), and again they gave me so much information during our discussions about the history and rich tradition on the island. A truly wonderful service!
Lastly, the food in each of the restaurants (Le Palmier, C Beach Club, Les Chatuex, Annabellas and Ginja) was spectacular. They each offer different types of food ranging from asian to Western food to amazing buffet meals to high fine dining. The different themed buffet nights at Annabellas were the most pleasantly surprising. I am normally not a fan of buffets as food can be sitting there for a while and go stale and cold; however, the quality of each buffet night was incredible. One night they had a BBQ night with a whole roast pig; you could watch them prepare which was cool.
Overall, the stay was amazing, and I will definitely be making a return trip. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Mauritius with attentive and friendly staff.

Heritage Le Telfair September 2026 This was our 8th visit to our happy place, Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort. and once again we were absolutely delighted. On arrival we were greeted by friendly personnel that we’ve known for several years and given a refreshing drink and a warm scented towel.
The resort itself is nestled in the breathtaking Bel Ombre region, the estate combines colonial elegance with lush tropical gardens and an beautiful beachfront location, creating the perfect setting for a serene getaway. We return every year and never get board of the scenery and views.
We were given our requested suite, room 605 which is beautifully appointed with spacious interior, a comfortable king-sized bed, and a balcony that offers stunning views of the Indian Ocean and the reef. The 24-hour hosts ensured that our every need was met promptly and attentively, making our stay as always effortless and indulgent.
Dining at Le Telfair was an absolute treat and service was second to none. each restaurant offered exceptional cuisine, from the gourmet delights at Le Château de Bel Ombre to the vibrant Pan-Asian flavours at Ginja to the more casual beachside elegance of Le Palmier. And don’t forget the main restaurant Annabella’s along with the other restaurants that are available, Every meal was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, leaving us eager for the next culinary experience.
Golf enthusiasts will be in paradise here, as were we. With two world-class championship courses offering magnificent landscapes, views and challenging play. The team that manage your games and the pro shop are extremely helpful, friendly and professional.
In order to manage the golf courses more effectively and reduce overcrowding, slow play and being over booked in the summer period. Heritage Le Tefair have now changed the golf benefits for golfers in both seasons being the Mauritian winter and summer months. It is our understanding that you will only receive one round of golf at both The Chateau course and La Reserve course with complimentary green fees and buggy at both per 7 nights stay if on the GB package, and during the winter period green fees will still be included every day at the champion 18 hole Chateau course. However, you will now have to pay if you require a buggy. These charges, although not yet set in stone are very expensive at 43 euros per person, not per buggy. So if Mr & Mrs hire a buggy that’s a staggering 86 euros per round just for the buggy.
Please check and confirm these charges directly with the resort or your travel agent before booking, to avoid being disappointed on arrival, as this is such a fantastic golf resort.
What truly sets Heritage Le Telfair apart are the exceptional staff as every member of the team displayed unparalleled warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail, making us feel truly valued, cared for and part of the Le Telfair family, throughout our stay.
In every aspect, be it location, accommodation, dining, golf, wellness, or service Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort has this year exceeded all our expectations. It has been a flawless blend of elegance, relaxation, and unforgettable experiences that we will carry in our memories forever.
We cannot wait to return to this truly magical resort that we call our Happy Place, next year.
Our only recommendations to the resort owners and management in order to manage the golf courses over both periods of winter and summer would be:
Gourmet Bliss package should still include full golf benefits being, unlimited green fees and a complimentary golf buggy for every round of golf, maximum of one round per room per day at Le Chateau course. One round per 7 nights stay with complimentary buggy at La Reserve course.
Half board and B&B guests at Le Telfair should not receive free green fees or buggies at either course. However, could benefit from free green fees on the par 3 course.
Guests staying at the Heritage Awali golf & spa resort: If staying on Premium AI should receive the same golf benefits as the Gourmet Bliss package. If Staying on Standard AI should not receive free green fees or buggies at either course. However, could benefit from free green fees on the par 3 course.
We recommend the above because if buggies are not included, but green fees are, you will just have more guests walking the course which will in turn slow play, and for those that have paid for a buggy this will just frustrate guests even more, being stuck behind walkers, or if paired with a walker.
