Good food but poor management

Review by 470raymondc

Very good food, friendly staff, nice place with good weather. Don't trust the handing of luggage! They broke a bottle inside my bag and gave me a trash black plastic bag to put my stuff in. Lack of activity as well

Very Poor and regretful experience in 2021

Review by mashigo16 Mauritius

Dear Online Visitors, it is with enormous regret and disappointment to share with you my poor day use experience at Veranda Tamarin Hotel, Mauritius. I would like to point out the following:

  1. Very poor service at the restaurant. It took us two hours to get the starters, the main course and the dessert! Can you believe it? The hotel was not even at maximum capacity and the waiters had to be constantly called upon...
  1. The Menu is extremely limited and disappointing. To be mentioned that the day package menu offers mainly wraps, panini, pasta and salad as main course.
  2. The activities offered by the hotel is very limited.
  3. Management is okay, but more efforts is needed to maintain the good client relationship.

I am a Mauritian citizen, and I can assure you that the price paid for this day-package is not worth it. You could get a day-use package way much better 4* or 5* for the SAME price!

I've been to other Veranda Hotels in Mauritius and they've been great. I however do not recommend Veranda Tamarin for its poor service and for not being value for money.

Amazing

Review by QueeenTash94 Mauritius

My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay at Veranda Tamarin, the staff were simply amazing, so was the food and the atmosphere... We enjoyed the great vibe of the place and have actually planned our next getaway to be at Veranda... It was literally a place where we could disconnect and just enjoy each other's company...

Poor Family room

Review by nilesh1423 Vacoas

We there for rest, but got the worst family room next to the laundry. The las way to the room was like I a horror film.Couldn’t sleep whole night... with all coming and going of trolleys and thousand of birds in the bambous was like sleeping into a bird sanctuary.....

Early morning there was no electricity and some time later when it came back it was the laundry staffs who started making so much noise.😤😤😤. Food buffet was ok and up to my expectations. At dinner a waitress came across. She asked to have my drinks order without giving me the drinks card. But when I asked for my favorite cocktail she said that it’s not on the card !!! But how am I suppose to know what on the card if you don’t give it to me ??? For a Saturday night entertainment let me say it was the worst live band music you could propose. Well the only positive things was the food & the pool. Regards Nilesh
