Incredible service, beautiful resort, wonderful cuisine, perfect for families
We had a spectacular stay at Taj Bentota for a week. When the hotel management learnt that we were a large family of three generations, comprising senior citizens and young children, they immediately took wonderful care of us. Their staff, led by General Manager Mr. Sibi Mathew, and F&B Director Mr. Suresh, promptly met us and took care of all our needs.
Chef Sarathkumar prepared some of the best, most authentic Sri Lankan food for us. Do ask for the brinjal, beetroot, mutton curry, and the kothu rotis, and have the local fare as much as possible!
The housekeeping staff, especially Mr. Gayan, were always easily available and maintained our rooms impeccably.
The property is located close to the Bentota River, where one must take the scenic river cruise/safari and enjoy the local water sports.
I highly recommend all travelers, especially families, to stay at the Taj Bentota. We wish the hotel and its wonderful staff the very best and continued succe

Stay at the Taj Bentota Resort and Spa
Excellent Service and Great Attention with special meals out of the spread being made for us by Chef Dalip , one of the best J Wellness Spa I have been across almost every Taj Property. The Therapist at the Wellness Sushila had amazed me with detailed stretching and in depth providing excellent therapy. Though rooms need major renovation, Overall amazing experience.

Wonderful experience
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Taj Bentota, Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, everything was perfect. The beach-facing rooms are beautiful, with breathtaking views of the ocean, and the entire property is very well maintained with excellent facilities. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the food. As Jains, we usually have limited options while travelling, but at Taj Bentota, we never had to worry. A special thank you to Chef Dalip Singh, who made our experience truly exceptional. He prepared a variety of delicious Jain dishes across different cuisines and always made sure we had plenty of options. He personally came to our table during every meal to check if everything was to our liking and if we needed anything else. No request was ever too much for him, even if we asked for something at the last minute, he would happily arrange it.
His warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care made us feel so welcome. It's rare to come across such thoughtful hospitality.
A big thank you to the entire team at Taj Bentota for making our holiday so memorable. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sri Lanka, especially if you're looking for great hospitality and amazing food. We can't wait to come back!
