Highly disappointed
I am still very surprised how this is a 4 star hotel. There is only 1 lift. The hall carpets are dirty and stinks. We had to ask for a dustbin for the room. Bathroom slippers are not available. The balcony is off access and dangerous. The hand held shower is broken and doesn't work properly. The pressure and temperature keeps varying making showering very difficult. No vanity kit was provided. Only a small unlabeled bottle was there in the bathroom, which i assume to be the shower gel. No shampoo, no conditioner. The mini bar was locked. Our package included breakfast and dinner. The first day dinner was a great disappointment. They didn't even have a buffet, reason being if there are only less occupants they skip the buffet. The F&B manager then filled a plate with the food from the resto bar above and gave us. Dinner food was average. I suspect they kept the better stuff for patrons above and gave us the least moving items. Food was better from next mornin. But the food is not warm always, the bacon and sausages were cold and we had to ask them to reheat it.
Overall a great disappointment.
The hotel is on the outskirts of the city so you will need to get a ride to reach anywhere. Nothing is there in walkable distance.

I stayed at Best Western Elyon Colombo for two nights during my business trip to Sri Lanka. I was impressed by friendly staff ( Sameera and Ajith ) . The bathroom had a rain shower and a bidet, which I appreciated. The wifi was fast and reliable, and the air conditioning worked well. The breakfast was delicious and varied, with both continental and Asian options. The rooftop bar was a great place to relax and enjoy the panoramic view of Colombo. The fitness center was well-equipped and open 24 hours. The staff were very helpful and courteous, and made me feel welcome. They also arranged a tour for me to see the Sri Lanka National Museum and the Royal Colombo Golf Club, which were both worth visiting. I would highly recommend Best Western Elyon Colombo to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in Colombo
Great Accommodation!
A wonderful experience at this hotel. We came a long way from California and the staff here was able to accommodate us in every way we were hoping.
Location is great along with the rooms that were clean and tidy. Special thanks to Lakkana for all the help he’s given during our stay. Highly recommend as the staff really made our stay extra wonderful!

Out of our 5 hotels we stayed in this has the best showers. Staff are so friendly, rooms perfect, balcony bar has the BEST views .. a great night sleep 💤 Thank you Sri Lanka 🇱🇰🙏 x Nice to know Great Westerns are just as good all over the world as our ones in England 🏴 are fabulous ! X
Very nice ambience
Nilma receptionist has helped me a lot. The house keeping staff is excellent. Special thanks to Mr.Chamath,Hashan, Mr. Tharindu and Mr. Janaka. The vegetarian food is good. The rooms are clean and spacious. One must try this hotel
