Wonderful family stay
Great service and awesome location! A stones throw from everything we wanted to see on Colombo! The views are worth it and we loved watching the trains go past early in the morning! Recommend Barefoot Gallery just around the corner too!
First visit after the Pandemic
I arrived with my wife on October 28 and departed on 1st November 2023. From the starting of check-in we had and amazing experience. Hotel reception staffs are very friendly and helpful. Additionally the Hotel Manager was there to help if required. Room cleanliness was superb. We did enjoy our daily breakfast. Due to our flight timing we requested for late check-out and they did provide and we both are thankful for the generosity. A very special thanks to the Hotel Manager and Reception team. We did really enjoy the time we had and sure we will be back.

Great experience
The hotel is very nice. The rooms are worth the money and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is great, as you are not in the city center and having seaview. Just a block away you get everything you might need. It is a good place to start your holidays, as they offer airport transfer, daytrips and a 8 day tour. Please ask for Udeesha! He picked usup from the airport and next day he showed us Colombo in a 3 hour trip. Spontaneously we decides to go with him on a 8 day trip. He is a very good guide and knows his country. He went out and beyond our expectations. He adapts to your needs and always has a smile. Highly recommended. He gets 10 out of 10 from us. Thank you for making your holidays so exceptional.
Midrange value for money
Was a bit unsure when we booked this based on reviews at TA as we were used to staying at major chains, which were booked for the weekend.
But what a pleasing surprise we had there- justifying the great reviews at TA, which were true to the last word.
We were a group of 8 & were allotted the 8th floor rooms - one a superior sea view room which was brilliant to say the least and 3 more partial sea view rooms which were equally awesome.
Pro’s
- Location, right on the beach , with a road and a rail track running parallel to the shore all the way to the port- a great place for a morning walk and stunning sunset views from the 9th floor bar
- Service. Simply outstanding! Meet up with their chairman during breakfast and his friendly, warm, and genuine traits are evident in the training across his staff. Each of them go out of the way to ensure you’re comfortable.
- SPA - though a very simple set up (nothing near the sophistication of the star chains) the staff are well trained and is good value for money
- Food: again, nowhere near the standards of the star chains, but the limited spread is very tasty, homely and value for money
Con’s
- The elevators are often used up by their in-house staff and takes ages to get to your floors
- Food- very limited menu, especially the breakfast, and exactly identical spread on both the days we stayed there, could do with a different menu every day
Special mention needs to be made of Madura at the restaurant for his outstanding service - guiding us with the right options on the menu and going the extra mile to customise a few items on the menu. Ruan the cab guy and Udeesha who managed our cab booking were extremely supportive & accommodative
Overall - a good midrange hotel with an awesome location and wonderful service all offering great value for money.

One of the most satisfying hotels we have stayed at. From the welcoming hotel staff, to the helpful waitresses and waiters in the first floor restaurant....all a great experience! There was a broad selection at the buffet breakfast, enough to to satisfy every taste.
