Amazing location (go for a sea view room) with few great shopping options nearby (at walkable distance). Accessible from any part of the city.
Comfortable rooms, Excellent Staff, Good Breakfast Spread, Nice Cuisine options, We tried all and pleased with all experiences. The crab factory, Yu-Mi and Golden Dragon being more specific. Cost of Dishes are very competitive compared to Five Stars in other countries
Had a compassionate experience while check in. My daughter was not feeling well due to the travel stress. Duty Manager and Reception Staff were very helpful in taking care of her. Don't know their names but, gratitude towards them!
Room Service was excellent too! Was celebrating my daughter's birthday there. Taj became part of the celebration when we found the staffs at the gate at midnight with a beautiful and delicious cake. My daughter loved it!
Used currency exchange services too. Very convenient and fair rates.
One suggestions - Seems some rooms need renovation. However, this was not at all a dampener and my rating will still remain at 10. Thanks a ton for memorable stay!
Stay at taj samudra
It was my first time in colombo I reached early in the morning. The staff was nice however the room I got was not properly prepared. As I had to get to my meeting so left hotel. In the evening I contact the reception the duty manager dinusha was very courtesy and she immediately change my room and ensured that my stay was very comfortable. Food was good especially the traditional masala dosa. Hotel is very well located next to beach mall and can easily take a tuktuk to go around the city.
True five star expereience
I am frequent traveller and stay in Taj Samudra- Overall the stay was excellent and service provided in Taj traditional hospitality. one thing to be noticed the excellent location Galle face in Colombo . One can enjoy the stay and good food served by great restaurants .
Truly outstanding!
Outstanding location, service, staff courtesy and food! The team went out of their way to make our stay pleasurable. The unique cake mixing experience was fabulous! Evenings are made more special by the musical events in the hotel lobby.
Would love to stay again (this was my second stay at the hotel).
