Taj Samudra

We spent five wonderful nights at Taj Samudra Colombo, and from beginning to end, our stay was absolutely exceptional. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and the hotel went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. Following a kind request we had sent before our arrival, we were delighted to receive an upgrade to a Club Room. The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, and the hotel thoughtfully added an extra bed so that our whole family could enjoy the space comfortably. We were also touched by the beautiful anniversary surprises: a delicious chocolate cake, and our bed beautifully decorated with flowers and local plants. These thoughtful details made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The breakfast buffet is simply INCREDIBLE and is, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our stay. The variety is extraordinary, with local, Asian and international specialties, live cooking stations, an amazing selection of fresh fruits, and so much more. There is an incredible abundance of choices, and it is absolutely not to be missed. We also had several wonderful meals at Port of Call, the hotel’s restaurant, which offers delicious local and international specialties. Everything we tried was excellent. But what really made the experience special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive and genuinely caring. We constantly felt that the team was doing their very best to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. Taj Samudra gave our family a truly wonderful experience and made our anniversary celebration even more special than we had hoped.
