We stayed in this place recently and fell in love with the resort. This place had everything, its location, the personal welcome with the dancers, access to things (despite Covid restrictions), a clean beach, wonderful variety of food and most of all the Island hospitality. At times, we were quite overwhelmed by the sheer willingness of the staff who went above and beyond to make our stay a special one and especially how kind and generous they were in making our 1 year old baby well looked after and specially catered for...
Special mentions to;
Chefs - Daniel, Chaminda and the hopper lady (sorry forgot her name) Restaurant staff - Ranga, Suranda, Dasun, Dihan and Dinesh Front Desk - Omega and others Kids Club - Dushyanthi and Pawani Activities - Lasantha and Thilina
And a very special mention to Eranda Niroshana Fonseka (Assistant Front Office Manager), this guy was nothing short of sensational in everything he did.
In summary, we will definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone.
I stayed here with two other friends. We had a two bedroom pool villa which was extremely spacious! The bathrooms were huge and clean. The highlight of this room is the pool area which has a beautiful mural on the wall...
We loved the room it reminded us of a two bedroom apartment since it also had a small kitchen area. What I appreciate about this hotel is the attentiveness of the staff even prior to arriving to the hotel. I was able to work with Omega from concierge to discuss excursions and my friend worked with another concierge member to plan my birthday celebration which they had a vegan cake already in the room when we arrived with birthday balloons! It was great! Our host/butler Sajani also made things wonderful by ensuring we had our schedule of activities and being available to answer all of our questions. She was very personable, had patience with our group and very nice to work with. Everyone here made us feel at home.
One great resort in Sri Lanka, which has great level of hospitality cuisine and friendly staff with many activities. We were at Anantara Kalutara for 3 Nights and it was a memorable experience for all of my family members. From reservation to the cleaning team to the recreation team members it was an awesome service they delivered at all the time. Watching Ducks was also a fun activity for the kid too, and small gardening of vegetables is a great addition. Special thanks goes to Reservations team @ Eranda and Kanchana, F&B team, Gayantha, Dilshan, great bartenders, Archery and Air Rifle shooting Lead by Lasantha, Housekeeping head Danesh and Hasith, Wonderful Chef’s and two female chefs Sanduni, Shasheera Udeni Chandrika and Kids club team who kept my daughter busy with so many interesting activities.
I stayed one night on Half board basis. The accommodation and the food were great. We have also done the hotel recreational activities (Zip-lining, Rock climbing and abseiling) and those were really fun.
Each and every staff member should be appreciated...
They are really welcoming and lovely.
We faced an issue with our room door lock on the last day. Because of this, they arranged a late checkout for us. So the staff cares about guests.
Overall, this is the best hotel I visited. Because, other than the food and accommodation, there are lots of things to do and lots of places to cover (1 night may not be enough).
Had a wonderful time. Food was heavenly delicious. Best place to relax and the lagoon view was pleasing your eyes...
Friendly staff was always welcoming. Swimming pool and the rest of the facilities were great. All in all fantastic!!!
