Lovely hotel

Review by norbert2808 Wellingborough, United Kingdom

We stayed for one night either side of our visit to Sri Lanka on a half board basis , the room was clean and cool , the food was brilliant al a carte the staff all very friendly made us feel at home couldn’t fault it at all . The only thing that could be addressed is the people on the beach selling they would not just accept a no so made us feel uncomfortable and we returned to the hotel but really wanted to have a nice walk along the beach . I know it’s not a hotel fault

Great Stay

We stayed here for the first few days of our holiday. It was a wonderful hotel-the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. One of my daughters and myself are coeliac and therefore have to very careful with what we eat and how it’s cooked...

The chef took time to come and speak to us and discuss our needs; he then cooked our all food separately. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were well equipped with a variety of toiletries, bath robes and slippers. There was also plenty of teabags and coffee. The view from the balcony was beautiful-overlooking the pool, palm trees and ultimately the beach and sea. This really was a super hotel and one which we would definitely recommend.

Lovely hotel and staff

Review by Liz N Sheffield, United Kingdom

Stayed here for 3 nights before travelling onto the Maldives. Staff are lovely and very friendly, Lashan in Reception was very welcoming and all staff were so chatty. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean and we had a wonderful pool view...

Outside the hotel there were bars and restaurants to the left of the hotel, however when we walked into the hustle and bustle of the town centre, there was a lack of bars and restaurants which we found a bit odd, as normally you are inundated with bars. The market on Sunday was massive and everyone was so friendly and we felt very safe and “wanted” by the locals. It is so cheap here too and tipping was so appreciated. You feel like you want to help them get their economy back to how it was. We have thou roughly enjoyed our short trip here and would strongly advise to hire a driver for the day to see some places as we did (about £70 for the day we paid).

An OK airport hotel

Review by doug b Poynton, United Kingdom

The hotel is quite average and has clean rooms that do need a facelift, there is nothing specifically wrong with the hotel and for a one or two night stopover close to the airport it is ok. The checkin was ok, we did just turn up and negotiated a rate directly. Once in we changed rooms as the room we were promised wasn’t the one we got...

The restaurant is fairly good with a good choice of food and the see bar is also good for a bar snack. One thing that is fascinating are the sculptures all over the hotel grounds. In conclusion it’s just ok. Next time I will be trying a different airport hotel.
