0Your adventure begins in Trivandrum, which provides the perfect gateway for exploring Kerala’s hidden treasures. Watch the world go by as you slowly meander your way through the maze of waterways and lakes on Kerala’s stunning backwaters.
Your tour includes an early morning cruise on Kerala’s Periyar Lake which boarders the famous Periyar wildlife sanctuary, home to large herds of elephants, the majestic tiger, the elusive leopard plus many more fascinating creatures including over 300 species of bird.

Please Note: This tour can be taken either at the beginning or at the end of your holiday in Kerala. Single travellers and couples may not always travel as a group. If the hotels detailed are not available alternatives will be used of a similar standard. The tour may also be reversed but all sites mentioned & content will remain the same.
Flight Times: Depending on flight times, an extra night may need to be spent prior to the tour at the first hotel. The cost on Bed & Breakfast is £49pp. Single supplement £49 daily.

Itinerary
Day 1
You will be met on arrival followed by a brief city tour of Trivandrum. Overnight at the Uday Samudra hotel or similar.
Day 2
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Travel North to Alleppey and board your fully furnished traditional houseboat. Lunch, dinner and overnight on your houseboat.
Day 3
Drive to Cochin and spend some time at leisure, then experience a 'Tuk Tuk' ride followed by a performance of traditional Kathakali, a classical, colourful dance drama. Overnight at the Holiday Inn or similar.
Day 4
Sightseeing in Cochin marvelling at sights such as the Dutch Mattanacherry Palace. Overnight at the Holiday Inn or similar.
Day 5
Venture deeper into Kerala's green heart visiting tea and spice plantations en route to Thekkady. Enjoy the Periyar wildlife sanctuary, home to herds of Elephant as well as the majestic tiger. Overnight at Hotel Aranya Nivas or similar.
Day 6
Early morning cruise of Periyar lake to view the wildlife and a chance to see elephants on the lake’s fringes. After the jungle adventure proceed to Elanthoor Mannaas home stay. Visit Aranmula Temple and the Manufacturing Centre of Aranmula Kannadi.Stay overnight at Mannas Home Stay or similar.
Day 7
Transfer to Trivandrum or Cochin Airport for an onward flight or to your respective beach resort.
