- Best Western Premier Muscat

The Best Western Premier Muscat opened its doors in the summer of 2012, a 4 star non-licensed business hotel located in the commercial district of Al Khuwair, right next door to the embassies and government ministries. The modern design and white refreshing lobby is enhanced with an atrium and an indoor swimming pool on the ground floor. The hotel features 203 contemporary designed bedrooms and suites, the majority of them being the superior room with 28 square meters featuring either king bed of 180 square centimeters or two large twin beds of 120 square centimeters, a 42 inch LED flat screen television with a variety of satellite channels, coffee /tea tray, mini-bar with soft drinks/snacks, a personal safe and a shower only bathroom with rain shower. The premier floor is our executive floor; the bedrooms and suites include enhanced amenities and guest services including the Premier Lounge and Terrace serving light snacks, teas, coffees and soft drinks throughout the day. The hotel has two restaurants - The Atrium, an all day dining restaurant serving Arabic and International cuisine and buffet, and the Mashawi Grill - our grill house serving the best of dishes from the Middle East, the Mediterranean and the America's. Also in the lobby we have the Connection Cafe - try our delicious cappuccino and fresh fruit juices with complimentary (for residents only) use of our two computers and internet. For your corporate events we have four function rooms accommodating from 15 to 150, for training seminars, business meetings or that private dinner. And not forgetting the fitness minded, along with the indoor swimming pool we have the fitness room and sauna.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We spent two nights at BW. First night we arrived late, after a long flight and, though we only found bath towels (no shower mat, no face towel), we were too tired to go to the reception to ask. Next morning, after requesting, we received a bath mat and one face towel (for two persons). Otherwise, the hotel is OK, though somewhat worn around the corners. Breakfast was fine, no complaints. Locality is so so, especially if you wish to find some dining outside – it seems that a big mall is about to be closed and most of businesses are out. View from our window was onto the opposite building – very close.
I spent 3 nights at this hotel and they are very exceptional in treating guests. The breakfast buffet is extended to authentic oriental cuisines apart from continental style. The rooms are very clean and the swimming pool is nicely warm. The checkin process is smooth. I would send my special thanks to June, the catering supervisor who made my mornings joyful with her smile and care. We need more people like her.
Location is good, service of step members excellent.
I enjoyed breakfast and my all stay.
Thanks to a delayed flight inbound our airline put us on a bus and sent us to stay the night at the ironically named Best Western Premier Muscat. When the airline said we were going to a hotel for the afternoon/night we had conjured up images of a great hotel with a landscaped pool and a palm tree or two and room service and a restaurant - a Holiday Inn or a Hilton something exotic. Unfortunately Oman Air sent us to this ironically named hotel. Check in was hectic - we handed over passports and given key cards to our rooms. The room - unpleasant. It was a smoking room so it stank. The room was at best described as very used! Timber work worn away and damaged - and the door lock broken off gave us excellent confidence in the security of the area. Tried to ring down for the advertised room service - both room phones broken. Went down to the restaurant - told we could eat buffet. I am not a buffet fan so asked for ala carte was handed a menu and then told actually buffet is only choice. So my wife had some basic noodles and I had a meat curry dish. Fortunately it was very spicy so would have killed off taste and bacteria. It was hopefully goat but one cannot be sure. The positives - water pressure was good but there was a previous guests hair tie in the bathroom so the cleaning was on the same level as the hotel - poor. The hotel is not as shown on its website - which is excellent - sadly this place was not. If given the choice to sleep here or at the amazingly clean and delightfully scented Oman Airport - I would choose the airport every time.
In last two days i saty the hotel because of the flight cancellation, oman air provide the facilities for me . In my opinion. BWp give one of the best food and accommodation. Especially Mr. Sakenth U.k executive chef in that time he was the in charge of Coustemer service Its communication and problem solving skills very helpful for me
