Good Stay Overall — Great Staff, Minor Management Issues
I recently stayed at IntercityHotel Muscat and overall had a positive experience. The staff were consistently professional and friendly — reception and restaurant teams deserve special mention for their attentive service. Breakfast offered a good variety, and dining options were satisfying.
The location is practical for business travelers, with easy access to main roads and shopping areas. However, during my stay nearby roadworks made taxi access inconvenient — cars often stopped at the construction site, and at times local drivers challenged ride-hailing taxis, which was uncomfortable.
On the housekeeping side, small details could be improved: hand soap was never replaced throughout the week. More disappointing was at checkout, when I was charged 4 OMR for a simple hanger (which I asked to replace my broken one). The price seemed unreasonably high and left a poor final impression.
Despite these issues, the hotel remains a solid choice for business trips in Muscat thanks to its service quality, professional staff, and decent facilities. With a bit more attention to details and guest-friendly policies, it could easily become an excellent option.

Excellent Stay and Great MICE Facilities
Recently stayed at this hotel for our annual General Manager's conference. Located in the heart of Muscat this is a very modern and elegant hotel. What made my stay more pleasurable was the impeccable attention to detail and service orientation of the staff members especially Mr. Salahuddin Khan (Duty Manager)
The hotel has exceptional facilities for MICE and equally good for people to want to visit for Leisure.

I had a very good experience at Infinity Spa in Intercity Hotel Al Khuwair. The room was nice and relaxing. My therapist Nina was so good and professional. I really enjoyed the massage and will come back again!
Wonderful spa service at Intercity Muscat hotel
Had a wonderful massage with Nana after staying at the hotel . She was excellent!! The massage was just what I needed after 9 days of hiking in Oman and before a long plane ride home.
Great stay at the Intercity Hotel, Muscat and highly recommended masseuse Linda.
We enjoyed our stay at the Intercity Hotel, Muscat (ministries district) very much. The staff were uniformly polite and helpful. The buffet for breakfast and dinner always provided a variety of well-prepared food.
In particular my wife had a very good massage with Linda in the spa area. The treatment was very professional, effective and relaxing. Can highly recommend Linda.
