Disappointed
Disappointing First Impression
Unfortunately, our experience at W Muscat was quite disappointing, especially considering the reputation and positioning of the hotel.
The biggest issue was the welcome we received at reception. The staff member who checked us in was extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming, and the attitude felt unnecessarily rude. A warm and welcoming check-in is the first impression of a hotel, and unfortunately this interaction immediately affected our overall feeling about the stay.
We were also surprised by the condition and amenities of the room. There were no basic bathroom amenities such as a toothbrush/toothpaste set, vanity kit, or similar items that we would normally expect from a hotel of this category. The room itself also did not feel particularly new or as fresh and polished as we expected from a W hotel.
Overall, the hotel did not meet our expectations, particularly after staying at other luxury hotels in Muscat. The property has potential, but the level of hospitality and attention to detail needs improvement.

Stunning!
This hotel lives up to its name, exceptional service, ambience, atmosphere, staff, suites, catering…. It simply has to be up there with some of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. A huge thank you to the cleaning team who did their job with exceptional attention to details - we stayed in room 519. Thank you to the catering staff who cooked such delicious food. Thank you to the lovely waiter in the Living Room Bar who served us a fabulous meal on our last night. What a stunning hotel. I have come to realise that the customer service guests receive in 5* hotels in the Middle East is by far the best.

Back again…. Lovely
I’ve visited the hotel several times but I must call out James (Room controller) for his exceptional service.Add into the mix all the team at the Wet Deck who go out of their way to make you comfortable.
But Sonia and the team at Harvest …. Absolute stars … Sonia you went above and beyond taking such good care of our son - organising chocolate muffins when they weren’t on the breakfast menu …. I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels around the world and you are one the people we will always remember… THANK YOU
