Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I just disappointed on how they manage to communicate with each other towards their guest when it comes to check out guest and check in guest because in the middle of the night 1 of the staff just open the door without knocking 3 times and telling what department of the hotel they are. Because of that our privacy as a person and a guest of the hotel feels like not important with them and the staff is saying that according to the receptionist our room is already check out and we are just wondering how they can give proper security with there future guest if they manage to not communicate properly with each other.
Then, according to the receptionist in charge at 5:30am the guest from our room give a keycard to them and they check out already. Im just confuse how they can open our door using that key if we have our own key with us thats why im concern about the safety and privacy of every guest that are planning to visit this hotel
And the way they handle this situation which is crucial issue is so slow and they let us wait until 11am in the morning and after that they still keep us on wait until 1:30pm to talk only in the manager. According to the manager they will update us on this issue and if were not getting the proper information we will escalate this on dubai police. Then when we are having conversation with the manager his also not sure if the person who open our door at 5:20am is their staff or a guest but we know to ourselves that guys is a staff of the hotel because he show to me the conversation with their receptionist, because of that its guaranty that the hotel is not properly secure and the staff is not aware on whats happening in the whole hotel because the manager is telling to us that the cctv have also a problem thats why they cannot investigate immediately now also my concern is what if that is not the only thing that happen that night how they can provide evidence to the police if their equipment to make the guest safe and secure is not working properly and that is make us guest more scared to stay in this kind of hotel and the time that we wait to get response from the hotel management took 6 hours what if something crucial in that 6 hour thats all
The hotel is quite centrally located and near the airport. The staff are specially sweet especially at the reception we have a young lady called Asha who is helpful, polite and friendly. She helped us with our needs from the beginning to the end. We complained about the cleanliness of the first room we received and she quickly moved us to a different floor to a neat and clean room.
The room help called Saqib was also very nice in making sure we received all the necessary materials such as fresh clean towels and toiletries etc.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to stay close to the airport and enjoy their hospitality.
The worst customer service ever. Very unprofessional and very dismissive. The hotels are untidy and nasty. I did not feel secure or safe there. The front desk is incompetent and condensing. A hostel hotel environment with a rude owner. No recommendations.
Had a lovely stay at Excelsior, good amenities and breakfast options. The location is bubbly and has great connections to local transport (donwtown to the souk or uptown to the mall) and the airport. The room was spacious and had all expected details - the temperature of the water was an issue that was quickly resolved. Staff are helpful and we had a wonderful member of the team Surjeet look after our room. Breakfast team staff are very helpful too. Srisha and Hasha deserve an honourable mention too. I would come back for sure.
I and my group of companie's staff always stayed in the Excelsior Hotel downtown Dubai in the last year 2023. All the bookings were done 100%. The Hotel is very close to central Dubai. Amazing restaurants around the Hotel like the JusGrill In Al Rigga and a large shopping mall very close, like within walking distance. There is one negative manner the hotel is managed. The hotel staff is brilliant from when you enter the door to your room. Upon entering your room I can mention a few staff member's names, Syed, Jenny, Mustafa, Grisha, Umair, Zekoji, Ritesh, and Surjeet all these staff members are always very humble, respectful and helpful. They do all their work as professionals and proactively, what a pleasure to stay in a 4-star hotel with such a winning team. I think the manager Mr Amine Idraiouiche can be grateful for having this championing team with him. The Metro Bar is also an excellent hangout for beer, food and excellent entertainment, with Irene and Christine rocking the bar on time every time. As far as the food or kitchen goes, they need a better chef as the restaurants around the Hotel have amazing food. Their rates are not always the best, but the staff member like the names mentioned above make up for that with their amazing professionalism. I can only say good things about the hotel, but if they remove the staff my Group of Company's staff will look for a new hotel close by, the Excelsior Hotel to stay. So Mr Amine, please keep this amazing staff you have together otherwise, my group of companies will go and stay in a hotel close by.
