C Central Resort The Palm

I’ll start with the positives:

• Nice restaurant and life guard staff
• Clean room
• Nice but small outside space (although becomes extremely busy and too crowded)
• Ok food

MAIN ISSUE- The Music: The music was vulgar and inappropriate, constantly swearing, saying the n word and inappropriate sexual language on repeat in-front of many children. On our first day, we asked on 4 different occasions for it to be turned down whilst starving (see reasoning below) and they just wouldn’t turn it down. It reminded us of when we were at a clubbing hotel in Magaluf aged 18.

To add to this:

• Adverts on music every few mins (although we eventually found listening to the adverts a relief from the awful music)
• The second day went down to the beach as far away from speaker as possible but music was still too noisy to read a book, nap or relax.
• Residents of the apartment building next door regularly coming across to speak to management and asking to turn down ridiculous music. Still no permanent change. We also heard many other families complaining of the music.
• Sometimes they’d play the same song up to 5 times on repeat at the ridiculously loud volume. (One of the days that this happened, said song was ‘Gangman Style’
• Music playing so loudly until late at night. Had to phone reception and request it to be turned down as we were shouting over eachother to be heard even in room at 8pm. No change to music volume despite request.

Now the other negatives that added to the stress and lack of relaxation we experienced:

• We arrived at 8am however no all inclusive was allowed to be activated- including drinking water until 3pm.
• Room had no balcony
• Room lighting was so hard to work we had to contact reception as only one switch near bed can turn on the whole room or not
• Location poor. On a construction site with building work sounds drilling all night. No where to even walk to. Have to taxi at least 20-30mins to get anywhere.
• Restaurant upstairs and spa was closed ‘due to maintenance’
• The hotel clearly ran out of shower towels on 2 different days. Phoned over and over to request new ones but no luck so we had to settle sharing and drying with 1 floor towel
• Chain on the toilet was broken and continuously running in night.
• New rules with all inclusive each day re whether you’re able to order off a menu , eat indoors or not etc.

I loved the buffet as well as the staff service especially fawad he has been very kind and provides amazing service thank you !
