First impressions …arrived at hotel 1.30am to watch a taxi full of drunken men literally fall out of the car and stumble into the lobby trying to find their room keys ! 

Staff efficient & friendly. Hotel public areas spotless. Rooms average. 2am  very tired & given a room without a balcony (we had booked a balcony room). Moved rooms immediately into a balcony room overlooking the main road and the traffic noise was horrific! Breakfast each day was like a free for all in a Spanish all inclusive resort ..that’s when you can get there via the lifts that can’t cope with the hundreds of people in the hotel.
  
Spent first day finding our way around. Rooftop pool rammed, nowhere to sit/sunbathe & banging music.. full of Instagramers trying to get the perfect picture ! Off to the beach in the hope for a quieter spot…Nope… exactly the same only treble the amount of people…even if we wanted to stay on the beach we weren’t allowed as you need to pre book in advance!  (Apparently it’s like this every weekend!) The walkway along west beach is lovely and we found some good beach bars. Sports bar is good and Revo Cafe  is excellent!  

Anyone booking with Virgin & adding a Premium Club room With Lounge Access don’t waste your money… Revo is included for 2 hours but the Lounge itself is appauling…don’t be fooled by what you see on the online videos …you are offered hot drinks and the all day refreshments are nuts and dates together with cold cans of fizzy drinks which are locked in fridges, so if by some miracle you can find a member of staff, you’ll have to ask for them to be unlocked …very very disappointing. 

Elevate are the company who act as reps for Virgin over there… they let us down by not meeting us at arrivals but this has been sorted with Virgin. They did, thankfully, sort out an appropriate room (3rd room lucky!) on our 2nd of only 6 nights at this hotel. 

Would definitely go back to Dubai..it’s stunning in every way possible. BUT this hotel is definitely NOT for us !

Would not return to this hotel

Our server called Jim in the sports bar went above and beyond always kept us right regarding menus and times for offers. The hotel as a whole has been a very lively and vibrant place . The access to the pool and beach club was amazing and definitely a perk .

First class service

Stayed here for 30 days! Everyone is super helpful and my room is always squeaky clean! (Thanks Ajay!) The rooftop bar drinks are superb and the place has a great view. The room has all you need for a long stay. Loooveee their dental kits btw!!!

A great place for a long stay

I’ve been on several holidays to Dubai and unfortunately this was the worst stay. It wasn’t a disaster, but it did not feel like the experience matched the price we paid for the hotel.

The staff were friendly, but there were multiple times where we were given conflicting information which was frustrating.

The facilities are not up to scratch and everywhere felt busy all the time. The rooftop pool was chaotic and cramped. We tried to use The 305 as we heard it had an adult only pool, but it was full by the time we got there (30 minutes after it opened). You need to queue before it opens to get a spot. We did manage to get sunbeds at the hotel’s area of the beach on one day, and on other days, we just paid to use neighbouring beach clubs which gave us the experience we were looking for. We spent a lot of time waiting for lifts. It felt like there needed to be more facilities for the amount of rooms/guests there were.

As for the positives, the room itself was comfortable and it was cleaned well each day. The aircon was great and the fridge was essential to keep drinks cool. You can ask to have the mini bar items removed. The Palm West Beach location is great and makes it easy to get to JBR, the marina and other Palm locations. Nakheel Mall over the road was handy and you can walk through the mall to get to Aura Skypool.

Sadly the quality of service and facilities did not match the price we paid, so we would not return to this hotel.

A busy hotel on West Palm Beach

Our stay at the hotel was perfect, location, accommodation, facilities are spot on. 

The food at all the outlet was excellent and the drinks package was worth every penny. 

The one thing that made us really love the hotel was the staff but there are some special mentions. 

Mansour,Warab and Lal who looked after us everyday at the day at the rooftop pool, nothing was too much trouble for them their service was impeccable. 

Jim at the 7 Sports Bar always remembered us and made us feel welcome with a warm smile.

Ali and Putri at checkin and out were so effecient and helpful. 

We will most definitely be back.
