This is the perfect beach holiday location, with public transportation right outside the hotel it is only a short drive to the centre of town. Resort facilities include 4 swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball, mini golf, a game room, children's areas and activities programs, evening entertainment, and a full-service spa. Guests can dine on the finest cuisine in an elegant dining room, or enjoy casual poolside snacks at the resort's seven restaurants, two snack spots, and 7 bars. The hotel has 307 m2 of event space with a maximum capacity of 700 attendees.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel it self I would put as average. Staff are friendly depending the zone. Resort is family friendly with activities and shows to enjoy togther.
As far a s restaurant experience, it sucked. My understanding is that all resort make you reserve a spot in order to eat there. Out of the 7 night I was only able to go to 2 restaurant. You literally have to be in your phone at 11 ready to reserve. If you try to reserve at 11:03 you will literally find no tables available in the resort webpage, yet you can walk by and see empty tables.
Bar experience is pleasant best bar service i received was from the beach bar, specifically staff member Victor made our visit to the beach a wonderful experience!
4 star hotel I’d expect a better quality and choice of food, the bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab, although the staff where friendly and helpful the hotel was 20 years behind with refurbishment
As soon as we got here, the service was amazing. They offered drinks for underaged kids which was amazing, rooms were very nice and clean. I stayed here with my family of 6 and we all had an amazing time. Our favorite spot was definitely the infinity pool, it was all amazing. My family and I have stayed here twice and plan on coming back in the future. Definitely an amazing experience.
Overall, the facility is old and poorly maintained, with heavy limescale buildup around the faucets and shower, broken fixtures, and signs of wear throughout. The patio door and light were broken and the railing was unstable. Temperature in the shower and the AC/fan were irregular.
There is limited or unclear signage, and posted schedules that frequently did not match the actual operating hours. For example, restaurant reservation booking time stated 8-2 but didn’t actually open until 11.
The food quality was consistently poor and the selection was limited. There was very little variety, as the buffet served nearly identical items every evening. The food was consistently cold or lukewarm and often unappetizing. The minibar was only restocked once during our stay.
While there were some great staff members, the overall experience was that many employees appeared indifferent to guest needs and offered limited assistance.
If you are staying here, upgrade to the adults only Crown Club, as you get a private lounge with breakfast and cocktail hour. They also offered premium liquor in the lounge. The adults only pool is also a nice amenity.
There are lots of free cabanas and beach chairs available at any point throughout the day. They don’t allow seat reservation, so it was easy to find somewhere to sit on the beach or by the pool. The beach was mostly clear of sargassum except for our last day, and was mostly calm for wading.
Generally speaking, the resort became repetitive after the first day. Although there are amenities such as mini golf, waterslides, and games areas, the entertainment offered very little variety. The night club played the same music every night, and because the evening shows were held exclusively in the theatre, the resort lacked the lively, social nightlife atmosphere found at many other all-inclusive resorts.
Generally speaking, there are other resorts in this price range that have more amenities, better communication, and higher quality food.
Amazing service, Jose couldn’t have done more for us. I found my holiday cocktail!
