All-inclusive luxury has been redefined with an incredible resort in the most coveted location of Cancun. Inspired by the beauty and culture of the destination, a naturally elegant and airy ambiance blends contemporary décor with Mayan influences. Swim-up suites, authentic cuisine and sprawling infinity pools are just a few of the many delights awaiting guests at the oceanfront Hyatt Ziva Cancun.
Ideally situated in Cancun's most desirable location, Hyatt Ziva Cancun stands on the edge of a picturesque peninsula, the only resort in the region surrounded on three sides by the sparkling Caribbean Sea. The beachfront resort is adjacent to the city's vibrant entertainment district and just 25 minutes from Cancun International Airport.
This resort is immaculate! The service is the first thing that needs to be recognized. The staff were so friendly and helped with our every need. The room was beautiful and clean with an ocean front view. The beach is so nice because the private beach doesn’t get seaweed! The water was clear and turquoise! They have free kayak rentals and other water excursions you can book onsite. We did the snorkeling with the dolphins and loved it! The food was amazing either way so many bars and restaurants to choose from. The food is a 10/10 and the drinks are 10/10. Some of our favorite were La Bastille, Trade Winds, Chevys, and the Mexican restaurant. I love this place! I hope to book my wedding here soon!
Lovely resort. The food, facilities, restaurants and customer service was exceptional compared to other all-inclusive restaurants we have been to. The location ensures that the beaches have very little sea-weed compared to other resorts making a big difference to the beach experience
Hyatt Ziva Cancun Resort – My boyfriend, his 8-year-old daughter, and I stayed at Hyatt Ziva Cancun as of August 5th, and overall, I would rate our experience a 6 out of 10. If you are looking for a resort that is family-friendly and has plenty of activities for children, I would recommend Hyatt Ziva Cancun. There were many things available for kids, and my 8-year-old stepdaughter enjoyed the activities and amenities. The food throughout the resort was also very good, and I really appreciated that the wait times at the restaurants were generally not long. Unfortunately, there were also several experiences that left us disappointed.
🍽️ Restaurant Service Although the food was great overall, our experience at Tradewinds Steakhouse was particularly disappointing. Our waiter was extremely inattentive. Our food and drinks took a long time to arrive, and when I requested an additional serving of bread, it never came. Another disappointment was the lack of recognition for my stepdaughter's 8th birthday. Every time we visited a restaurant, we were asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. I consistently told the hostesses that we were there to celebrate my stepdaughter's birthday, yet nothing was done at any of the restaurants. It wasn't until the last day of our stay, when I personally spoke with a concierge, that anything was finally done. Something was eventually delivered to our room, which I appreciated, but it was a bottle of wine, which didn't really make sense as a birthday gesture for an 8-year-old. The one restaurant that did make an effort to celebrate her birthday was Chevy's, and we truly appreciated that.
🎉 Vacation Club Experience
The vacation club presentation was another negative part of our stay. We were told it would be a ninety-minute meeting, but it was significantly longer than that. We ultimately decided not to purchase any vacation weeks, and afterward, we felt as though the attitude toward us changed. It gave us the impression that we were no longer as welcomed because we had declined the offer. We were offered a $250 resort credit as an incentive, while another couple we met—who did not have a child—was offered a $350 resort credit. I couldn't understand the discrepancy, and it left us questioning how the incentives were being determined. At the end of the presentation, we were also offered a discounted vacation week. However, we were not clearly informed about all of the requirements associated with purchasing it. I later learned that purchasing the week would require attending another 120-minute presentation. Thankfully, the person handling our purchase did not complete the transaction correctly, so the purchase ultimately did not go through.
👨👩👧 Overall There were definitely positives to our stay. The resort itself is beautiful, the food was good, the wait times at the restaurants were reasonable, and there are plenty of activities for children. However, between the disappointing restaurant service, the lack of attention to our daughter's birthday despite repeatedly mentioning it, and the experience with the vacation club, I left feeling that the resort could have provided a much better overall experience. My recommendation: If you're traveling with children, Hyatt Ziva Cancun is worth considering because there is plenty for families to enjoy. However, if you're looking for an adults-only getaway or a more relaxing couples' experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere. For us, the overall experience was a 6/10, and unfortunately, I don't think we would return.
This is my 3rd time at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun and my first time with my family. I loved it, the service and food were great. I would definitely come back. My favorite resort ❤️
Absolutely LOVED our experience! Traveled as a family of 5 with our kids ages 4 and 5. They loved the Kids Club and were begging to to go, which was a much needed break for us parents. The staff was so sweet and welcoming in the Kids Club (Ariana is one of the nicest people I've ever met) and the whole resort.
The smaller beach was our hang out spot. We appreciated the resort takes such efforts to remove seaweed by net in the water. The water was crystal clear and so fun for watching fish. We loved the water was calm and shallow - one of the biggest reasons we booked the resort. The daybeds were worth the extra fee to have more comfortable seating at the beach and food serviced from the beach.
The only down fall was the beaches on weekends get a bit crowded in the water, as the locals have access and know how beautiful it is. They do stay to the side on the shoreline though and don't crowd the resort beach though.
We had a dolphin room resort and that was a once in a lifetime experience watching the dolphins every morning!
The food and drinks was fantastic! Along with level of customer service. Go see Sixto in The Den (mixology bar).
We will most certainly be back! Thank you Hyatt and your glowing staff!
