Fun in the Sun
We had an incredible 14-day vacation at the Sun Palace, Cancun. The staff were friendly, courteous and eager to serve. The service was world-class. Please consider our special recognition for the following services: • Restaurant service by Jesus, Javier, Estrella, Eduardo, manager Steven and chef Michel all at Aurora; Angel, Armando at Trattoria; Monica and Sandy at Fuego and Elision from the Sweet Shop. • Kevin and Guierillmo demonstrated professional Sommelier service during our special wine tasting. They never failed to recommend the perfect pairing for our dining experience. • Excellent bar service was provided every night at The Bar by Karina and Mike. We enjoyed talking and getting to know them. • Alfredo and Paulina, Monica, Keyla and Veronica provided excellent professional spa service. • Pool concierge service was special. Ricardo and German exceeded our needs every day. • Our Diamond Concierge service was wonderful and just keeps getting better. Giselle provided excellent pre-arrival communication and coordination.. She welcomed us with enthusiasm. She is an excellent face for the Palace brand.

“Why We Keep Coming Back to Sun Palace 3–4 Times a Year!"
WE LOVE Sun Palace!!!! My husband and I stay here 3–4 times a year, and considering we could travel to countless other countries and choose Sun Palace again and again, I think says a lot! They truly treat you like family. The hospitality and service are second to none. From the moment we arrive, we feel welcomed, remembered, and genuinely cared for.
Sun Palace is an all-inclusive adults only resort on the Cancun strip, which makes it incredibly convenient. The airport is only 15 min away.
We’ve read reviews and heard personal stories about resorts in the Cancun area where the food was disappointing. I can assure you that every meal at Sun Palace has been excellent! If you don’t see exactly what you want, just ask your waiter and they will do their best to accommodate you (obviously, within reason). They are also extremely attentive to food allergies and ask before every meal.
We are especially impressed with Aurora Restaurant in the evening, particularly the Mexican selections. Fuego Restaurant is another favorite, with an excellent salmon, picanha, truffled mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese—to die for!!!
There is also a sweet and coffee shop in the main lobby. You can help yourself to fresh fruit, cookies, and hot coffee, or order a cold brew, latte, one of the many different crepes, incredible ice cream, or a variety of sandwiches. It’s a great way to start your day, although you can always head over to the breakfast buffet or Fuego ala carte (open certain days) if that’s more your style.
There are several pool options depending on what kind of atmosphere you’re looking for. The large infinity pool aka activities pool has a swim-up bar. Water volleyball twice a day, and depending on the day of the week, there may be a performer around 1:00, followed by a crazy game and dancing. The entertainment team is amazing!! If you’re looking for a quieter vibe, there are two additional pools on the other side of the resort with plenty of seating and beautiful ocean views.
And, of course, the beach! It’s beautiful, and can usually find a spot with cabana cover.
They have really good shows daily: in The Bar, located in the lobby, twice a night, as well as shows in the Ballroom. I have to mention the bartenders—Mario, Mike, and Juan will definitely make you laugh! They are so much fun and always add to the experience.
They also have some very nice liquor choices, which can change from time to time. Recently, we’ve seen Grey Goose, Tito’s, Crown Royal, Maestro Dobel Diamante, and Patrón Cristalino, just to name a few.
Depending on the time of year, you may even have the opportunity to watch mama sea turtles come onto the beach to lay their eggs or see the babies released at night. It’s such a special experience.
The rooms are spacious and very well maintained, with double sinks and a Jacuzzi tub. We continue to be impressed with how well the resort is cared for.
There are so many more amazing things we could say about Sun Palace, but I don’t want to make this review ridiculously long!

Perfect for couples .
We stayed one week for us to celebrate my husband birthday . We stayed junior suite ocean view and 8th floor . We were pick up in the airport no issue and upon arrival in the check in . They gave us a drink and cold towel to refresh coming out on hot weather . That was perfect . After we went to had late lunch to Aurora . Ryan seated us and Jesus was our server . It was very welcoming atmosphere .
To summarized our stayed .
We had breakfast and Ryan in few days memorized our name as room number . His very pleasant , polite and professional .
Jesus our server most of the time bec we prefer to be seated mostly same area . I can’t express his kindness and very detailed on what we want . He make sure we have everything we need . Chef etc . We had dinner at Aurora was perfect . Churoz was amazing with chocolate .
Trattoria we ate there 2 times . The staff greated and sung on my husband birthday . Armando , Abel and Hepzepa . Ingrid manager and Miriam - hostess . Fantastic experience . They were amazing .

Registration team - Ishmael - mgr and his staff Charley . Spa - I had 2 times they were excellent . Shout for Jessica and forget the other person name .
Our short vacation was very relaxing .
Our room were clean and she make sure it’s fix in the evening when we head back to our room.
In general the entire staff smile and feel your part of the family . They are all attentive and warmth . The place described as relaxed . I got you . Definitely will be back .
I was in Leblanc in Cabo last February . Amazing as well . The company is really good in trading their staff great .
It’s a lot of entertainment available for the guest . I advise to use the apps . Easy and you could plan well a head of time

Idyllic, beautiful and the best staff
Fantastic place and our 2nd year of staying at this hotel. The staff were/are amazing and so helpful, friendly and always went the extra mile Beach yoga with Uriel each morning is an absolute must - really set us up for the day (and certainly ironed out all the tight and creaky spots) Juan, Javier, Silvio and Daniel were outstanding in looking after us for food and ‘water’ 😜. Always a smile and a laugh with them - despite the heat they were always there to top us up The coffee shop is lush and again the staff there absolutely super The hotel is spotless, elegantly furnished and beautifully cool (much needed after the sun) We’ll most definitely be back (hopefully next year) and highly recommend here (and the other palace hotels)
Second Trip to Sun Palace
We had a great experience. This was our second time. We went three years ago for the first time. It much has changed which is what’s nice but also part of the problem. The facility definitely could use an upgrade. The ballroom sound system is not great. The rooms don’t have a C port for charging devices. The entertainment could use an upgrade as well. Great performers but the ballroom where they perform should be decorated more. Especially the circus. At least some balloons or something! LOL
I will warn you DO NOT do ANY presentations unless you’re ready to sit through a timeshare presentation because that’s exactly what it is. We were offered a buffet breakfast which ended up being lunch because the presentation took TWO HOURS!!! The food was just ok. We never saw one of the rooms or even a pool! They said it wouldn’t be high pressure sales but FOUR PEOPLE tried to sell us!!!! The first guy even sat at our table (me and my Husband) and had lunch with us!!!! Go away!!!!! He called for back up during the presentation, then another guy and then another guy!!!!! Then when we were sitting in the lobby waiting for our ride back to our resort ANOTHER guy approached us trying one last time!!!!! I will say it was worth the Four Hands Massage we purchased with the Resort Credits they gave us for sitting through it but SHEESH!!!!! The whole experience put me in a bad mood for about an hour after.
HIGHLIGHT of our time was our ALL TIME FAVORITE WAITER Juan at Aurora Restaurant!!!! He took good care of us when we first visited in 2023 and he remembered us and took even better care of us in 2026!!! We would go back just to see him!
