The Royal Sands Resort and Spa All Inclusive

Overall great experience. Friendly staff and lovely setting! Really enjoyed the turtle conservation program! We love coming here!

We've been back for a week after our Sands week 34. Weather was phenomenal...not a raindrop all week which is unheard of in our weeks 34 experiences. The service all around was above par in our experience. The resort was well-maintained and clean, the villa was clean (did see a cucaracha on the last day in the bathroom which skeezed me out but it was on the last day, we didn't spend a ton of time in the villa, and I didn't bring any home with me) Little dude...I'll be watching for you next time! Activities staff was good, but really should train with the staff at the Haciendas...they are excellent! We did all inclusive and found value in that. We like to try everything, are moderate drinkers and for those who say the drinks are watered down, they will happily make you a double! One suggestion is to offer half-portions on the menus to cut down on food waste for those who like "a little of everything." One exceptional standout in service was Jesus at Hacienda Sisal and at the Grand Salon. Hi attention to detail was impeccable and really should be recognized by the resort. From the greeting, to noting I had a purse with me and bringing a purse tree to the table, to coordinating multiple courses with other servers and making order suggestions for our party of 5, to checking in with us regularly...I have not had a better top-to-bottom dining experience this amazing. Ever. The food at Hacienda Sisal was also better than I remember it being, so kudos there! Check in was a little slow as always, and being jumped by the concierge on our way to the room was not appreciated, and check-out was seamless in the app. One thing the resort seems loath to control is the chair claimers. One group in particular claimed 6 front-row phase 1 pool-front chairs in one of the most tasteless and embarrassing ways I've ever seem: With American flags where the resort-issued flags would go (not a problem in and of itself) and black tee shirts draped on the chair backs that said iterations of "Snowflake...you are not entitled to anything" and the like. Furthermore, no @$$e$, literally or figuratively, occupied those chairs for hours. Talk about entitled snowflakes! Anyway, that did not really affect my vacation aside from being embarrassed for them when walking by on my way to breakfast, as we are ocean people, not pool people. Next time, leave politics at home! Particularly in a foreign country.

The royal sands still has their charm. An excellent quality 5 star customer service.. The food was good. The resort was clean. The bartenders were friendly.. I love it. My beachfront villa makes it very enjoying.. In the ip, phone operators are super professional and friendly..
