Ocean Riviera Paradise El Beso Adults Only is an Adult-only area with exclusive access for El Beso guests with a swimming pool, restaurant and snack bar located in the Ocean Riviera Paradise resort. It's the perfect place for those seeking a peaceful environment for relaxing as a couple or having a good time with friends.
The Ocean Riviera Paradise is a new five-star resort located in Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya. Guests staying in the El Beso Adults Only area can enjoy the rest of the resort's facilities and services: a wide range of dining options with themed restaurants and bars, the Despacio Spa Centre, sports area and diving centre among other services.
Resort area recommended for guests aged 18 and over and with exclusive access for El Beso clients.
Guest are required to make advance reservations for the restaurants Sakura, Steak house and La Locanda.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The people that work at this resort are absolutely wonderful and also my favorite thing about staying here. Irene in the lobby bar has provided us with great bar service. She’s friendly, fast and always has a smile on her face.
My wife and I stayed at Ocean Riviera Paradise from 22–29 September 2026 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.
First, I want to say that many of the Mexican staff were excellent — hardworking, polite, respectful and professional — and we are genuinely grateful to them.
Unfortunately, one experience seriously affected the rest of our holiday.
Shortly after check-in, we were asked whether we were celebrating anything special. When we explained it was our 25th anniversary, we were told the hotel was giving both of us massage services as a gift.
We genuinely believed this was a complimentary anniversary gift.
The following morning we agreed to what we understood would be a short resort tour. We specifically asked that it take no more than about one hour because we did not want to waste valuable holiday time.
Instead, we were passed between representatives, taken for coffee and gradually introduced to a Premium Travel Club sales presentation.
Eventually we were presented with a membership costing approximately US$19,900 for 25 years, with around US$10,000 requested upfront. When we said we wanted time to think, further lower-priced offers were presented.
By the time we finally left, approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes had passed.
The most upsetting part came at the end. We were told we had until around 1:30pm that day to make a decision and that, if we agreed, we would receive several gifts, including the massage services.
These were the same massages that had originally been presented to us simply as an anniversary gift.
We felt seriously misled and did not return.
What affected us most was not only the time lost, but how we felt afterwards. For the rest of our stay, both my wife and I felt extremely uncomfortable whenever we were near the reception/Premium or Exclusive area.
We actively avoided it because it reminded us of what had happened. We had travelled to Mexico for a very special anniversary and spent part of the rest of the holiday trying to forget this experience and enjoy what time we had left.
Our complaint is not that Premium Travel Club exists. Our concern is the way we were led into the presentation, the lack of clear information at the beginning, the nearly four hours taken despite our request for one hour, and the anniversary “gift” later becoming linked to a same-day decision.
We have formally complained to the hotel, First Choice, Premium Travel Club and PROFECO.
I am sharing this so future guests can make an informed decision. If you are offered a massage, tour, breakfast or other “gift”, ask clearly whether it is connected to a sales presentation and whether any conditions apply.
Really clean tidy hotel, location was a little bit out of town but could easily get a taxi that runs from the hotel and are very accommodating. Hotel staff really friendly and couldn’t do enough for customers, food and drink good with a good variety. We stayed in the Elbeso adult only part of hotel which was lovely and quiet, rooms were of a good size and plenty of room to store things. Entertainment was a bit hit and miss but I think that is because we went out of season, there was enough to find to do and also nice to relax. Would 100% stay again
DONT BOOK HERE. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They have trapped us in a booking and is costing us an additional $2500. I don’t even want to go at this point. Criminals.
Stayed for 5 days in Privilege. Check in was easy. Transportation was easy. It is a nice resort, clean, and fairly calm. After 8p.m. it gets pretty quiet. Atmosphere was good for relaxing. Rooms were spacious and clean. It is humid but the AC keeps up pretty good! Shower has great pressure. I felt it was a good value for the price. Maybe more of a 4+ star than a 5. The staff really made the stay great. Lisandro was our butler and they were absolutely fabulous 👌 5 🌟 I would come back again just for how amazing everyone was. There are some shops, decent variety of food options, drinks were decent, the beach was smaller but nice. The Privilege area of the beach was nice and quiet and clean. The pools could use a little TLC but were still great. We went for our daughter's 12th birthday and it was great. Sad to leave!
