Second Perfect Stay
Our second time at the Overwater Bungalows. The transfers in Cancun to the resort (and return) were private and strictly first-class. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by Alberto. He sets the tone for your stay. He takes care of your luggage and always goes above and beyond - offering good, friendly advice, checking on any needs throughout the stay, and always has that welcoming smile and sense of humor.
Our butlers, Mauricio and Janet, were simply amazing. They are there for you and make sure you are having a wonderful time, taking care of any needs. Taquila tasting with Augustin is an absolute must.
This was our second trip to the bungalows (the last being one year ago), and we are looking forward to a future trip!
Great Views, Food, and People
This place lives up to the reviews. The rooms are beautiful, the food is fantastic, and the staff are amazing. Alberto and Daniel went above and beyond to check in on us, we were so sad to say bye to them. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. Salome at the main pool bar made us feel right at home, and try to get Marlene as your server at the Palafitos restaurant!

Our butlers Alberto, Fernando and Daniel treated us exceptionally!!! They are the absolute best and we look forward to seeing them when we return in June 2027!! Leobardo was an amazing bar tender!! Always fixed our drinks perfect at Maroma and Palafitos!
Anniversary trip
Absolutely breathtaking! The location was magnificent! The bungalow could not have been any better. It was spacious, clean, with a view of the ocean from every angle. It was worth every penny spent. Our room was cleaned multiple times a day with every request met.
Best solo trip ever!
Best solo trip ever! I had the best time at Palafitos Overwater Bungalows. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating, from the time I arrived to the time I begrudgingly had to get back to real life. Special thanks to Alberto, Pilar and Enrique for making my stay a dream come true. If you’ve been debating on whether it’s worthwhile, I can assure you that it is!
