Just been to the Indian à la cart our waiter Alan made us very welcome gave us recommendations and was very attentive throughout the evening. It was a pleasure to have him serve us.
Love this resort. Dinner at Asana was wonderful. Alan had great recommendations and was so fast. Looking forward to next time already!
Our stay at Sandos Playacar was a total disappointment. We stayed at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort last year and had a great experience, so we expected a similar level of service and quality. Unfortunately, on the very day we arrived, we found more than 30 dead or dying cockroaches in our room. We immediately reported the issue to the front desk, but instead of receiving an apology or a reassuring response, the staff seemed more interested in defending the situation, explaining that this can happen after they use exterminating spray. We were moved to another room, only to experience the same problem again. The rooms have a noticeable gap underneath the doors, allowing cockroaches to easily enter. We eventually had to stuff towels under the doors just to try to keep them out. Having to deal with this situation in not one, but two rooms was completely unacceptable and significantly affected our vacation. Given our previous positive experience at Sandos Caracol, we were especially disappointed by the lack of cleanliness and the way our complaints were handled. We would not return to Sandos Playacar based on this experience.
Location is good. Hotel is really good and resort is clean and well looked after. Rooms are large, well equipped and bathroom area is good. Wildlife is good around the hotel. Food in buffet restaurant is really good, good quality and lots of variety. Ramon in the pool bar next to the riviera blue snack bar is really good. Looks after us while we are around the pool and is really friendly.
