This outstanding award-winning resort has a privileged location, situated on a wonderful landscape and offering a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea. The property is set in Puerto Morelos, a famous fishing village located at only 35km from Cancun, where visitors can find multiple leisure options such as exciting excursions and water activities as well as a wide range of restaurants and cafes. This hotel offers a world of luxury to its guests with spacious and elegant rooms equipped with a private balcony or a terrace and a complimentary mini-bar refreshed daily with soft drinks and bottled water. Travellers will find unlimited activities for their entertainment as well as a spa offering the most advanced treatments. Guests can choose between six different restaurants offering a huge variety of international cuisine and various bars and lounges where they can taste a delicious cocktail.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We visited Dreams Sapphire for the 5th time from September 26 - October 3. As in the past we had a wonderful time! The resort is very clean and the layout is very easy to get around! The food is great! Every day you can have hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza, and tacos at the outdoor grill, truly amazing! Enjoy every evening dining at the restaurants and/or buffet, menus are updated with some fabulous dishes, you will not go hungry! Our room was cleaned daily and air conditioning was very comfortable. The bed was amazing! Entertainment team kept guests busy with some fun and competitive games for all ages. The staff everywhere were wonderful and so welcoming, always had a warm smile. Not able to use beach/ocean. Food choices were minimal. Not a good experience and will not be back. Paid for swim out and had to look at piles of seaweed and smell was terrible.
The hotel service was great! The food, ambiance, staff, evening entertainment, bar service, and all the fun extras really made the experience enjoyable. We went to celebrate my son’s 18th birthday in late September, and the restaurant staff went above and beyond to make it memorable.
Late September is considered off-season, so there were fewer people at the resort, which was a big plus for us. The only downside is that it’s also seaweed season. There was a noticeable smell, although you eventually get used to it. Unfortunately, the beach water wasn’t really enjoyable for swimming because of the seaweed.
The facility is older, but it is very well maintained. I’m giving it a 5-star rating rather than 4 because you can tell the property is well taken care of.
Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back. However, we’re Costco travelers, so we need to try some of the other Costco resorts before we make our way back here! 😎
Our August 2026 wedding at Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa was truly everything we dreamed of and more! We had over 80 family members and friends join us, and every single guest enjoyed the resort, amenities, activities, and overall experience. Seeing everyone having such a wonderful time made our wedding even more special.
We could not have done it without our incredible wedding planner, Vianey. She was amazing throughout the entire planning process and on our wedding day. Her communication, organization, attention to detail, and dedication made everything so much easier and allowed us to truly enjoy our special day.
A huge thank you to our butlers, Valeria and David, who were always on top of the daily activities and available whenever we needed them. Mirela, our maid, did an exceptional job keeping our villa spotless. She was trustworthy, kind, and truly wonderful.
The wedding venues were absolutely beautiful, and the entire wedding team was fantastic with communication and bringing our vision to life.
Our photographer, Abigail, deserves a special thank you. We aren't the most photogenic or comfortable people in front of a camera, but she was so patient and guided us every step of the way. She made us feel comfortable and captured beautiful memories we will cherish forever.
Our officiant, Socorro Jimenez, was also amazing. She followed our wishes perfectly and created a beautiful, personal ceremony. Her experience as a Cancun wedding officiant really showed, and she made our ceremony feel seamless and meaningful.
Overall, Dreams Sapphire exceeded our expectations. From the resort and beautiful venues to the incredible staff, our destination wedding was truly a dream come true. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make it unforgettable. We would absolutely recommend Dreams Sapphire to anyone planning a destination wedding in Cancun! ❤️
