Great Resort! Friendly and very happy to make the experience as great as it can be for their guest. Got to participate with the staff doing bike rides through the town of Akumal, swimming with the turtles, and bar staff was always willing to try new drinks or fix our go to from memory.

This resort is 10/10! The place is beautiful. The grounds are well kept. We didn’t not encounter ANY unfriendly staff. Everyone went above and beyond. Our room was immaculate, cleaned daily, fully stocked. We did book under preferred club. I highly recommend. We will surely return to this resort. Special shout outs to the concierge, housekeepers, servers, bartenders, pool staff, and beach staff. NONE of them disappointed. Food was GREAT! Seasoned well, presentation flawless. We will return!

Secrets Akumal was, hands down, the best resort we have ever stayed at. We have stayed at several all-inclusive resorts, but Secrets Akumal completely raised the bar. Honestly, the other resorts we've stayed at now look like a one-star motel on the side of a highway going nowhere. From the moment we arrived, the service, food, entertainment, and overall experience were exceptional. The Activities & Entertainment The archery event was one of our absolute favorites! Eric and Eric (“But you can call me Raul!”) made the experience so much fun. They were hilarious, engaging, and made everyone feel welcome. Antony deserves a huge shout-out too. This guy was an absolute blast at EVERYTHING. Whether it was water volleyball, water aerobics, karaoke, or just generally keeping the energy up, Antony was the ultimate hype man. He brought the fun everywhere he went and made the activities something we genuinely looked forward to. The nightly entertainment was also fantastic. There was always something going on, and the resort did an amazing job keeping everyone entertained without it ever feeling forced or repetitive. And the main pool bar deserves its own shout-out! Oscar was fantastic and somehow always remembered our drink order. That kind of personal service makes such a difference and really made us feel taken care of. The Food & Service The food was incredible. We had fantastic meals throughout our entire stay, and the quality and variety were far beyond what we've experienced at other all inclusive resorts. A special shout-out to Eddie at Portofino, who provided exceptional service. He was attentive, friendly, and made our dining experience even better. Our concierge, Fernando, was also phenomenal. He answered every message promptly and fulfilled every request to a T. Having someone so responsive and helpful made our entire stay incredibly easy and stress-free. A Couple of Things to Know We only have two real critiques of the resort:

1. The resort stores are EXPENSIVE.

If you need something basic like Tylenol, medicine, clothing, or even a regular pair of flip-flops, buy it somewhere else if you can. I was completely blown away by how much they charge for basic items. Convenience comes at a premium here. 2. The pool surface is extremely rough. The steps and pool floor are rough enough that after spending several days in the pool, our feet were sore. If you're someone who spends all day in the pool like we do, be prepared for that. Neither of these things came close to ruining our experience, but they are worth knowing before you go. Final Verdict Overall, our experience was excellent. The staff, food, activities, entertainment, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail were all incredible. Every person we interacted with seemed genuinely committed to making sure guests were having a great time. Secrets Akumal has officially ruined other all-inclusive resorts for us. We never want to stay at another brand of all-inclusive EVER. Secrets Akumal is, without question, the best resort we've stayed at, and we would recommend it to absolutely everyone. If you're considering booking it DO IT. You will not regret it! Secrets Akumal: 10/10. Absolutely worth it.
