A pre-Columbian Mayan city in Mexico, Tulum boasts a spectacular coastline with beautiful beaches. Once an ancient fortress city, Tulum still retains many of its archaeological sites, including the ruins of a cliff-top Castillo.
From here, you can enjoy the stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and explore the mangroves and cenotes (natural swimming holes) of the nearby Tulum National Park.
Tulum enjoys a tropical climate and an average of 8 hours of sunshine per day. Temperatures range from the high-20s to mid-30s all year. May and June are the hottest and wettest on average with January the coldest. Bear in mind ‘cold’ in Tulum means temperatures still reaching 25℃.

Visit Xel Ha; the world’s largest natural aquarium where you can cliff jump, go zip lining, snorkeling and kayaking. You can even swim with dophins and stingrays! There are also diving schools and excursions to take part in around Tulum for those wanting to explore the waters.
Taxis are the best way to get around in Tulum. Walking and cycling are also recommended for short journeys.
