Unfortunately, the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua didn’t live up to our expectations. The resort is very large and feels very old and dated, particularly the rooms, which are old and definitely in need of a refresh.
The biggest disappointment for us was the food. We are foodies and, after eating so well throughout Bali, we found the food here very low average for a hotel of this standard and price. We ended up eating outside the resort instead.
The beachfront location is lovely and the staff were friendly, but overall it isn’t the luxury Sofitel experience we were expecting.

Our stay at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort was truly exceptional. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite, which felt like our own little paradise — a wonderful setting for a special holiday. As lovely as the suite was, it was the genuine care of the team that made our experience unforgettable. The butler service was absolutely fantastic. A very special thank you to Diah, whose kindness, attentiveness and personal care meant so much to us. She made us feel genuinely looked after, rather than simply served. Diah and the entire butler team deserve enormous praise for making our stay feel so effortless and special. The Club Millésime lounge was another highlight. The quality of the experience and the attentive service were excellent, and it became a lovely part of our daily routine. We also absolutely loved the massage in the beach gazebos. Having such a wonderful treatment right by the ocean was pure bliss — relaxing, indulgent and something we would wholeheartedly recommend. The most memorable moment of all was the private dinner we arranged by the ocean to celebrate a birthday. It was simply fantastic. The beautiful seaside setting and the care that went into the evening made it a truly magical celebration and a memory we will treasure. Thank you to everyone at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua for such a wonderful stay, and especially to Diah and the butler team. You made our holiday feel personal, warm and genuinely special. We would be delighted to return!
We spent a week as a family at the Sofitel. The resort is beautiful and family friendly. We liked the quiet location. Our room was comfortable and spacious and perfectly clean everyday and the housekeeping staff made sure that we had everything we needed. Huge thank you to De Agus who checked in on us a couple of times a day. The staff make sure that the resort looks the best it can. There are a wide choice of restaurants, either by the beach or a few minute drive. Breakfast included a wide variety and was good. Overall it was truly an unforgettable experience.
