However, Just sharing my latest experience with Sofitel pre PPKM/Indonesian lockdown and post-PPKM/ Indonesian lockdown - Customer service can be improved and should always be a priority despite the sudden increase in customers.
Sofitel is luxury brand from Accor, where most of their hotels are either midscale or budget-segmented. I arrived at the resort by using Vario scooter, but somehow treated differently compared to those who using cars.
As Accor Plus Gold Member, you're entitled for an upgrade and welcome gift as promised by the brand...
However, I need to reconfirm this during the check-in as well as when I entered the room. Seems Accor Plus and each of the hotels are not very well-organized when it comes to member's benefit.
I was upgraded to the room with private pool, which for me a bit bizzare in terms of design. Pool is very small, only suitable for those who bring kids during their stay. Privacy is a bit inapposite since guest from next door and from the room above could see me directly from their own bedroom.
Breakfast was totally fine. Not extraordinary, not bad. Especially during the pandemic when all hotels in Bali are struggling to fill their empty rooms.
In the end, Sofitel Nusa Dua is not an exclusive nor luxury resort. It just another city hotel type with more facilities on it. It was designed to cater MICE that take place around Nusa Dua ITDC complex.
We stayed 3 nights in Sept 2021. Everything was great. Check-in was punctual...
The check-in time is 3PM. We arrived at 2.30 and got our room at 3PM (absolutely no delay like many reviewers said). Every staff we met was very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and tidy. We found no issue with our room except for the broken sprinkle in the toilet. We asked for it to be fixed but no one came. We were only a bit bothered by it and too lazy to follow up so we just let it be. The AC was sooo cold - we love it. Hate staying in a hotel with AC that’s not functioning well and the AC in Sofitels worked really well (love it!). The staffs at breakfast was so nice. The foods were great. So many varieties! The first morning, the bfast was served ala carte style but the second morning was buffet-style. Pool was beautiful and so spacious. The design of the hotel feels modern, lux and clean. The beach was okay. Clean and well maintained. Not breathtaking but still really nice. We rented bicycles in morning and cycled through other resorts that are adjacent to Sofitel. We did beginner-level bootcamp near the beach with a trainer. All were complimentary so they were free. We love our stay in Sofitel and would like to come back. It’s good seeing many visitors (mostly Indonesians) after the long pandemic. I’d totally recommend Sofitel. Oh, and one other thing. There’s this bad review from a guy named Yudy Tjahjono if I’m not mistaken. Mmmmm, not that I intend to invalidate his review (although my experience was great) but don’t be discouraged with his review. I am NOT, in any way, affiliated with Sofite (like, who am I anyway) but he seems like an entitled j*rk whose hobby is to complaint and complaint LOL - sorry, had to put this in my review). All in all, good job Sofitel. You’re doing well!

Very friendly staffs. Even our room was upgraded to a villa. That's why we came back to stay there on 12-15 August. A lot of activity we can enjoy here. The staff at activity station is the best. He let us keep the bicycles at villa for 1 night. Because not a lot of people use it. I will come back to stay here
