4 star experience

Review by The Bali R Denpasar, Indonesia

Pro: Luxurious design, very comfortable. Upgraded us to the 1-bedroom villa since the hotel was very empty. Breakfast was very nice...

Main pool is huge. Beachfront, so you get access to the beach.

Con: The size of the villa isn't so big. Confusing as to where to get checked in. Very empty when we arrived. We went from the back and no one was there, walked all the way in the empty hotel to the front, finally a buggy picked us up. Sad that the kids club was not open. Walkways are very dark at night since they were trying to save on electricity.

Time of stay: March 2020. Will we come back? Maybe.

Back in Bali at last….. Sofitel rising to the post pandemic challenge in style!

Such a lovely way to be welcomed back to beautiful Bali after 2 x years of Pandemic impacted travel restrictions and being locked up literally within Australia! Bali is very much looking forward to travellers returning and the staff at Sofitel were no exception. While it was clear at times the hotel is still regaining its footing post pandemic (slight confusion at checkin, long delay in receiving our luggage to our room….), the staff more than made up for this by their happy and willing natures and broad smiles. I would especially like to thank the staff in Club Millesime for taking care of us so well after we were eventually taken to them for our checkin, and from there…...

Nothing was too much trouble, and my Platinum benefits were honoured without question for me, as well as my sister who was travelling with me. The full Buffet Breakfast is back to its high standards with so much choice and a layout and design of the multiple food stations that just work…. Even with the large upsurge in guests experienced during the recent Lebaran Holiday - a true test for the resorts staff who came through with flying colours. Thanks too for your willingness to alter our booking a number of times to accommodate the changing Quaratine Requirements set by Indonesia, and we thoroughly enjoyed our ‘pre-vacation’, and even more so without the original quarantine restrictions! All the best as the world returns to Bali, we will certainly be recommending our friends & family consider staying at Sofitel Nusa Dua……

definitely not worth it

ive stayed in dozens of places in bali, even more, and sofitel is not worth it at all, for that amount u can get 10 times better service, better breakfast, better everything somewhere else.

Once we arrived to the hotel they just gave us key at the reception and bye bye thats it, its huge resort we were looking for our room for 20 minutes, no one showed us around which way is to the beach, where is bar, where is restaurant, where is main pools, we had to spend an hour walking around to figure out on our own, this literally never happend to me, didnt show us the room , didnt tell us anything, just handed over key and thats it, find your own way. On top of that after: Issues with check in, our room not finished at the time of the check in, problems with key to the room, which can happen but waiting for staff for hour and a half to arrive and help us is not fine. We...

called 3 times every 30 minutes until someone arrived to give us correct key to our room. Paying 400k for breakfast with cheap artifical juices, jams, low quality bread and chef that dont know how to cook proper omelet.

On the upside, of course the location is absolutely top notch. But thats about it, book something else for half price and u will get 10 times better service.

I really hope that some regional manager reads this and act upon it, Sofitel should be one of the best, meanwhile it was probably the worst place we stayed in Bali. Overated big chain hotel.

Love Sofitel Bali

Review by Henry H Brisbane, Australia

We have stayed here several times pre pandemic and never had any dull moments as the Sofitel Bali always looked after us truly like VVIP.

We are finally back here after 2.5 years later. Kudos to the whole team from the bell boy, Club Mile team : Putri, Stella, Nirmala, Kristina, our butlers: Yuli, Bagus and Darwin, Kwee Zeen team: Alit and Marini, So Fit team: Dwipa and Mustika and of course the lovely Front Office Manager : Lydia who always goes above and beyond to ensure our stay is as magnifique as possible.

Thank you to the F&B team who works so hard to feed everyone during this long Eid Ramadhan holiday - the best bfast buffet we have ever seen in our entire life. Keep up the great work!

Thank you to the HSK team who always service our room morning and afternook impeccably.

We are checking out tomorrow after one week stay and so sad that we have to leave from this beautiful resort...

Thank you for your wonderful hard work to make us feel special, privileged, and of course safe.

See you all again very soon.
