This hotel is situated about 3 km from the east of Legian Kuta, a pleasant distance from the hustle and bustle of the city. Those who still crave a buzzy atmosphere will find the city and tourist centre, with many shops and entertainment venues, only 800 m away. It is a similar distance to the beach. Constructed in Balinese style and surrounded by a large tropical garden, the hotel offers a welcoming foyer with reception desk, lift and a currency exchange counter. Culinary options include a bar and an à la carte restaurant. The tastefully fitted rooms are all air-conditioned and come with an en suite bathroom. The stylish accommodation units additionally feature a minibar/ fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. A hire safe and a balcony or terrace round up the offerings. In the well-maintained grounds, guests will find two swimming pools and a poolside snack bar.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

The staff are amazing Rutina Adi Cahya Anggi Anjely Deby And Rara They are such a delight Thank you from the deep of our heart. The smile and professionalism is over the top Rutina asked daily about any complains or feedback .. he offered food and service always .. he even gave options for places to visit in bali. Walked us to the spa in the resort and offered the service. Adi prepared the shisha and accepted any feed back to prepare it the way we liked it.. the reception staff were lovely and the manager there was open to changes and feedbacks The room is clean and room service was the best. The staff are friendly and polite .. very helpful.. i am sad to leave this place to go back to Australia ..but the staff has made my first experience in bali the best
Had a lovely time at hotel villa lumbung at their bar! Rara and Julliani were amazing ladies and so so friendly!! They made our time at the bar so much fun everyday!! Remember our names!! Lovely experience :)
Hotel Vila Lumbung is a beautiful place to stay. I recommend spoiling yourself and getting the deluxe Lumbung they arr huge, especially if you have a family or a teenager travelling with you. You have a large king bed and and extra little room with a double bed, also a kitchen and large bathroom. I would definitely book it again. We had our friends 50th birthday while stay here and the staff were absolutely amazing. They helped organise decorations, a cake and made a area for us when our group of 12 had breakfast to surprise our friend for her birthday. A big thank you to Rutina he helped me with everything as always checked up on us if we needed anything. Also his team Anjely and Agus were amazing thank you all so much, you made our friends birthday a one to remember. Cleanliness ofnthe rooms is good and the gardens are beautiful. Was very peaceful and tranquil here with no loud noises. Good location too with bars and restaurants and even the clubs close by, but when you're in the resort you feel far away feomnit all. Large pool with so much space and another big one with a swim up bar. Our group loved our stay here of 6 nights. Great value of price too.
Gustu is very kind!!!
I had a really great time!
hotel & all stuff was super kind!
Just want to highlight a few pro’s and con’s for this Hotel, it was just okay for the money, could be so much better though. I gave all this feedback at the Hotel and followed up with an email after checkout.
Pro’s - Location was very good and the Hotel had a daily shuttle bus to Seminyak Square and the beach at 11am. Mini mart, massage, laundry, restaurants and money changers all a very short walk (1-2 min) from the Hotel entrance going either way.
Price was also good, one of the reasons we booked it.
Small pool, well maintained and well maintained grounds/gardens.
Staff, really friendly and attentive as you come to expect in Bali.
Con’s - We stayed in a bungalow at the rear of the Hotel, had two rooms (upstairs and downstairs) for our family of four. Downstairs room had an outside bathroom/shower. Novel/old style but we got savaged by Mozzies. Air con’s were old and struggled. Really hit and miss with the air con. Beds were ok, room is a little dated but not bad for the price.
Gym/fitness room - Every piece of equipment (there wasn’t a lot in there anyway) was broken or partially broken. Table tennis table in there was the best thing in there.
Beer not included in happy hour. No good deals/incentive to eat or drink around the pool. Limited sun lounges available, pool was quiet/relaxed atmosphere and not much for the kids to do/use/atmosphere.
Breaksfast buffet was very basic and the quality was average, below what we have experienced at every other place we have stayed at in Bali. Didn’t even have baked beans daily (twice in a week), bacon was always undercooked, mini sausages always undercooked, limited fruit/cereal/yoghurt options.
The all you can eat BBQ Monday 250k IDR per person was just satay skewers and a Rice and noodle options. Not good value for money, got a little sick post eating this dinner/first night at the Hotel, kids had pizza, chips, burger from the normal menu. Didn’t like the food and my kids eat everything. So we didn’t bother ordering more food/eating at the Hotel again. Beers and drinks at the Hotel were more expensive than some 4-5 star resorts we have stayed at previously.
We ended up checking out three days early, and going back to a Hotel we have stayed at previously, naturally no refund/partial refund (wasn’t expecting any though tbh) Raised the dinner issue with the Hotel, still charged us for the food, should have/could have at least wiped that or given we were leaving three nights accomodation/money with them anyway. Despite the extra cost/money loss, going to another Hotel was the best decision/best decision we could have made to save the end of our holiday. Would have left Villa Lumbung earlier if we had the funds/monet to burn by leaving the already paid for accommodation.
2/5 is an honest review, you pay for what you get or don’t get in Bali. This hotel is every bit 2-3 star, priced accordingly, but good location and staff. If you just want a room, basic food, then it’s fine.
Have stayed at Legian Beach Hotel, Jayakarta, Bali Dynasty, Maca Villa (just up the road from here) Movenpick Jimbaran, would recommend all of them/rate all of them a lot higher than Villa Lumbung. Won’t be coming here again.
