Wonderful experience beyond imagination
We deeply appreciate the exceptional service from your team and the invaluable memories you created for us during our stay.
We especially love Mandapa’s philosophy of “disconnecting to connect,” as well as the thoughtful preservation and celebration of Balinese culture throughout the resort. Our experience was truly unforgettable, and we are already excited to introduce Mandapa to every single one of our friends. In fact, this stay was so special that we can’t help but start planning visits to other Ritz-Carlton Reserve properties around the world.
We would also like to thank our Patih, Tira, and all the team members once again for the tremendous effort they put into organizing my proposal (including the rose bouquet preparation, photoshoot, and many more), preparing a bunch of amazing surprises (e.g., room decorations), and taking care of every detail of our stay and travel arrangements. The entire experience felt almost too good to be true and went far beyond anything we had imagined.
Strongly recommend to anyone who values privacy or would like to have a highly personalized plan for vacation/proposal/honeymoon.
Honeymoon well spent
It was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of Bali’s nature, with the lush greenery and Ayung River creating a peaceful atmosphere throughout the resort.
What stood out the most was the exceptional service. Every member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful, making us feel incredibly well taken care of. The personalized service made the stay feel even more special, as every detail was handled with great care. Special shoutout to Vanessa, thank you!
The villa was beautiful, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, with a wonderful sense of privacy and a perfect connection to the surrounding nature. It was the kind of place where you could easily slow down, disconnect from the outside world, and simply enjoy the moment.
Our stay was peaceful, memorable, and truly special. We would absolutely love to return and experience Mandapa again.
Mandapa- A Ritz Carlton Reserve
Mandapa is simply breathtaking. The serene atmosphere is exactly what we needed. I usually don’t like hotel poolsides but the poolside at Mandapa was quite intimate and we were able to spend the whole afternoon there! The restaurants and spa were awesome. The staff were extremely friendly too. Special shoutout to our butler Tapsir who was very attentive and made sure our stay there was seamless from start to finish. I definitely recommend this hotel
Ultimate Balinese Hospitality!
A wonderful stay at an amazing resort. The property is absolutely stunning with immaculate attention to detail. Service is top notch and very personalized. Names are remembered and used often. Genuine smiles all around and some superstars like Ayu at Sawah, Arjana the tour guide and Andra the photographer. Very accommodating to our needs specially after we lost a day of our planned vacation due to flight cancellation. Simply amazing.
Poorly Managed Beautiful Hotel Property
The hotel itself is beautiful. Grounds are luscious and green. Buildings and facilities are first class.
However, compared to other hotels we visited in Bali, the staff are a big let down.
After experiencing a wonderful butler service at The Legian, Seminyak, the butler service at this hotel was disappointing.
Booking restaurants at the property was challenging with restaurants fully booked and I overheard other guests having similar experiences.
If you meet similar challenges, try the Aperitif Restaurant at the Viceroy Hotel, you won’t be disappointed.
When we checked in to the hotel we were told we should have booked restaurants before our arrival. I don’t find that to be an acceptable response.
Kubu restaurant is poor. Compared to other A La Carte restaurants nearby, it does not measure up. The hotel website sets an expectation of culinary innovation, in reality this is sadly absent.
One of our party had dined at this restaurant a few years ago and they were disappointed as the restaurant wasn’t nearly as good as it once was.
Sawah was OK, just OK.
Ambar was good. However avoid the sushi roll wrapped in seaweed, the seaweed sheet used is too thick and tough to eat. They did make sushi without seaweed wrap on our last night and that was perfectly enjoyable.
Given the price of this hotel, the management team really need to try a lot harder and realise the customer comes first. The staff have to be much more flexible in accommodating guests dining requests.
I certainly wouldn’t book this hotel again.
Final point, do your own research on trips and make your own plans. The arrangements made by the hotel did not showcase the true beauty and nature on offer in Ubud.
