We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel! Everything was absolutely lovely, from the gorgeous property to the welcoming atmosphere. What made our stay even more special was how thoughtful the staff were for my birthday. Coming back to the room to find balloons waiting for me was such a sweet surprise and truly made me feel celebrated. 🎈❤️

Fantastic hotel with great views looking out over the river. Staff are amazing and always helpful! Food was delicious and couldn't get enough of the rooftop infinity pool 🙂
We booked Avani+ Bangkok as the final stay of our Thailand trip and were really looking forward to finishing our holiday on a high. Unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience.
There was an event taking place during our stay, and it was very obvious that the hotel’s attention was focused on it. As paying guests, we felt completely overlooked and, at times, as though we were inferior to the event guests. It was incredibly uncomfortable to feel like we were being pushed into the background despite having paid to stay at the hotel.
We were given virtually no information when we arrived. Nobody explained what facilities were available, where breakfast was, what was included in our stay or even the check-out arrangements. We had to ask about everything ourselves, which is not what we expected from a hotel presenting itself as 5-star.
The fact that this was meant to be the special final stay of our holiday made the experience even more disappointing. Instead of feeling looked after, we felt like an inconvenience while the hotel focused on the event.
The room itself was lovely, the view was good and the room service dinner was enjoyable, so there were positives. However, the service and overall experience did not feel remotely like what we expected from a 5-star hotel.
The location is also worth bearing in mind. If you want to explore Bangkok’s food scene, restaurants and city life, you are quite far out from many of the areas you’ll likely want to visit.
Ultimately, our biggest disappointment was the way the hotel made its other paying guests feel during the event. We left feeling overlooked rather than valued, which completely took away from what should have been a really memorable end to our trip.
