Nice pool, great front desk service

The hotel looks nice and you can see a staff member constantly cleaning the area. It’s not an expansive site, so the entrance is what you got, which is the pool and it’s nice, clean and the water is super warm in Jun.

Front desk is super friendly and helpful. They can help you book your tickets but it has to be cash only. Hotel and taxi to/from hotel can be paid by credit card with a 3% fee on top. They also do money exchange and the rate is better than airport!!

Inside the room there’s some hit and miss. There is a big water kettle and coffee/tea but no refill. There are towels that smelled washed but you can see yellow stains on them and they are not soft. There is no tissue available and only toilet paper. They provide slippers for the room but they are not disposable ones, so not sure about the sanitation procedures. There’s a safe in the room but it requires a key to unlock it and you can ask the front desk for the key.

They accept 3pm late check out with 200k Dong. There are cold water in the fridge which is not complementary. Small is 15k Dong and large is 25k, but there is nowhere listing these prices, you have to call front desk to ask. About 5 minutes walk away there’s a small supermarket that sells water, groceries and accepts credit card.

Arranging a taxi from Da Nang international airport to the hotel is reasonably priced at 20 USD for a 20 ppl minivan, you can email hotel to arrange and they are very helpful.

When exchange for money they will tell you a rate on the calculator, be sure to take a picture of it. In our experience, when we actually did the exchange the next day with a different staff, they will give you a different number but will honor the prior rate if you show them proof. The same goes by the water charge from the fridge in the room.

Brilliant experience

This hotel was recommended and we were not disappointed. A short walk from the town centre. This hotel is amazing value with staff who have a welcoming ‘can’t do enough for you’ attitude. The hotel is well equipped with pool and the rooms are clean and well kept

Poorly maintained Hotel

We're do I start room was dirty, lights did not work, coffee cups still dirty from last guests. The staff excepted our complaints and moved us to another room, but we found that room not clean as well. We moved to another hotel. After reading some of the other reviews I think we stayed at a different place.

grubby and need of good clean

We quickly decided this hotel was just a bed for the night. we had 2 rooms and both needed a good clean! but as our bookings where non refundable we stayed. I researched the property using trip advisor before we went and was disappointed as it didn’t live upto expectations and was the only hotel in our trip that wasn’t upto par! Location was good but the hotel had a noise issue. on our first night we where woken by a fight by the pool after midnight which the police attended then we were woken every night around 3am by dogs barking for a hour then around 5am the cockerel started! we didn’t use the pool after seeing guests spitting in it and on our last day a couple with twins took them out of their sleep suits in the morning by the pool and took them in with their bulging overnight nappies on! and not one member of staff challenged this! Hot water was plentiful and we had the bed made daily and bins emptied but that’s about it! Hoi an is a fantastic place and i can’t recommend it enough but sadly i can’t recommend this place

Wonderful hotel and staff!

What a lovely hotel, everything was just perfect it’s very quiet and very close to the city center and night market. The view is beautiful overlooking the river. The receptionists Mr Binh and Ms Ruby were extremely kind and helpful, they helped to book tickets for us and explained what to do and where to go in Hoi An. We will definitely recommend a stay at The Gem Riverfront Hotel. We will be back.
