Give Back Friday

This Black Friday we've decided to Give Back to those in need. Therefore, for every person who books a holiday with us, we will be providing 100 meals to children in Sri Lanka. With your support we are hoping to donate 100,000 meals for children this Give Back Friday.

Lynn Stanier MBE, the Chief Executive of charity Their Future Today explains how this initiative will help....

"On BLACK FRIDAY, Their Future Today would like to say a huge thank you to our longstanding partner Mercury Holidays, who’ve supported our rural village preschool in Sri Lanka for up to 84 children since 2015 which provides early learning education in a poor community, and also offers a solution to help prevent child abandonment through poverty for working families.

Renamed Mercury Holidays - TFT International Preschool, many Mercury Holiday tourists visit and enjoy a heart-warming cultural experience, meeting happy aspirational children who although they’re very little, truly understand the valuable gift of education, often from uneducated parents, who now learn from their children.

We’d also like to thank Mercury Holiday’s discerning clients who’ve chosen to book with a travel company that actively gives back, and creates positive impact to regenerate a poor local community in one of their holiday destinations.

TFT works to transform care in orphanages, protects and shelters women and girls, reunites families and provides education to keep families together, and children out of institutions.

Sri Lanka is now in the midst of a terrifying humanitarian crisis and many families cannot afford food. Children are dropping out of school, weak with hunger and fainting in class.

Rising numbers of families have no other choice than to make the heart breaking decision of abandoning the children they love in orphanages, unaware children are now also going hungry in orphanages because of high inflation and lack of funding.

£25 from every booking through Black Friday will provide 100 nourishing meals for children in need; to give them the strength needed to learn for a better future.
