We have stayed at the Waterfront several times. The recent refurbishment has improved it tremendously but somehow the reception and bar areas are rather sterile and are now less hospitable than before. There were noticeably fewer clients in these areas at all times and we only used the bar once.
Regarding the restaurant, we had breakfast in the hotel and the self-service tea and coffee is rather a disappointment. The younger members of the restaurant staff were very polite and friendly. Generally the hotel is excellent and we shall continue to recommend it.
I was expecting a side single room with Harbour views. Wow, I was given a beautiful large double room on the sixth floor, front of the hotel. The most wonderful view of Harbour and Valetta, plus a mini bar. The only problem was the shower drained too slowly and on one occasion it overflowed over the little barrier and into the bathroom.
Hotel is still undergoing major refurbishment. Whilst our room was OK, with just a couple of minor issues, some of the area around the hotel was full of lorries/trucks/cranes which was a bit off-putting. The view and location were fantastic. Breakfast was great, extensive choice, well-cooked. Staff in all parts of the hotel very welcoming. Room cleaned every day, very high standard.
Service was excellent from our maid to the waiters in the breakfast room.
The hotel was advertised with choice of buffet or a la carte menu , but this was not the case as there was no a la carte, it had been shut down earlier in the year. The buffet food was okay bug quite limited.
Staff very friendly. Hotel drinks prices very good. Clean and tidy Hotel.
Very good hotel it was just a shame you couldn't use the stairs
This hotel is looking a bit tired in places especially bedrooms and linen. Food was generally good but variable in quality during our two week stay. Understand this hotel is due to close in November for a refit.
The hotel was well situated for the bus to other parts of the island & Valetta and the ferry to Valetta. The staff in the hotel were very courteous and helpful. We found lots of good restaurants in the surrounding area and enjoyed our time in that part of Malta and intend to re-visit the island.
Good, but asked for high room and got one on first floor = traffic noise. Otherwise, nice hotel.
The hotel staff were excellent.
Happy with the service at the Hotel. This is the third time we have been to this hotel, and they have been very kind and caring.
This was our second stay at this hotel. All staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again and in fact recommended it to another holidaymaker when asked.
A perfect place to stay.
