The hotel was amazing. Rooms were clean, food was perfect and the staff was taking care of you for the whole time. And the A team brought so good energy to this whole place (especially Shedy, Francis and Jackson). They made very good shows and took care of the entertainment in the hotel. If you go there you wouldn’t be bored because you will always find something to do there.
Location-great! Atmosphere great! Rooms ok! Animation perfect. Noise level- if you want silent, you have sailent, if you want fun, you have fun...! Great acrobatic Team! Special regards for Franc Francis! You made our days here! Generaly great place to relax! One minus - sometims wi-fi is not working well!
The location of the hotel is really good, it’s close to the nyali city center and city mall which have plenty of shops to choose from. atmosphere of the hotel is excellent the crew is really friendly and always offers help with something. Rooms are clean and the cleaners always give their best to keep them tidy. The noise in the hotel is low, which is really good, but it depends on what type of activity will be in the evening because in the evening there’s music and some stuff like a DJ or an animation show. The value is also fantastic for what you get. Amenities such are a guy who will take your luggage to your room, also when you come here they give you a cooling towel which are fantastic, you also get a welcome tea. To sum up all of this and some other opinions from other people I can not unanimously say that the Voyager hotel is the best in kenya. oh and i forgot to say that on the entrance gate there’s a guy with a trumpet and that’s really funny when he plays it when someone’s comes :))
What a great experience for all of us. We were three generations with a wide age range of mid teens to late 70s and when we left we all said we wanted to stay longer. The rooms were great, as was the service. The staff were extra friendly and very helpful to my wife who was using a stick after a recent fall. The various activities during the day and evening kept everyone entertained and fit! All in all, the nine of us recommend the Voyager as an excellent beach hotel for stays in Mombasa.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Voyager Beach Resort for what has been a truly wonderful and memorable stay.
From the moment we drove through the gates, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The memorable trumpet welcome on arrival immediately set the tone, followed by the friendly reception from the front-of-house team and the attentive staff who assisted us and escorted us to our room.
Our first impressions were equally impressive: beautifully maintained grounds, a wonderful beachfront setting and an atmosphere that immediately made us feel relaxed and welcome.
One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the Children’s Club. As a parent travelling with children, I cannot praise this aspect of Voyager highly enough. The children’s team is, in my opinion, one of the hotel’s greatest assets. The activities, engagement and genuine enthusiasm of the staff created an environment in which my children felt comfortable, entertained and genuinely happy. Their experience at the club became one of the highlights not only of our stay at Voyager, but of our wider journey in Kenya.
What particularly impressed me about Voyager was the way the hotel operates as a whole. Despite being a busy resort with numerous guests, activities and facilities, there is a clear sense of structure and organisation. It operates almost like a well-coordinated beehive—constantly active, yet remarkably organised.
This appears to be supported by a highly competent and visibly involved senior management team. I particularly appreciated how approachable the management were. They were present, pleasant to speak with and genuinely receptive to feedback. When concerns were raised, they listened, took them seriously and made a clear effort to address and resolve them. For me, this is an important reflection of good hospitality: not simply providing excellent facilities, but demonstrating responsiveness and genuine commitment to the guest experience.
The same warmth extended across the hotel—from reception and housekeeping to the restaurant, grounds and children’s team. There was a consistent feeling of hospitality throughout our stay.
Most importantly, my children absolutely loved Voyager, and so did I.
In fact, we enjoyed our experience so much that we decided to extend our stay. Perhaps there is no better recommendation for a hotel than guests choosing not to leave when originally planned.
Voyager Beach Resort has now earned a place among my favourite hotels—not only in Kenya, but among the places I have particularly enjoyed during my travels.
Thank you to the management and the entire Voyager team for your hospitality, professionalism and for making our stay in Mombasa such a memorable one.
We leave with wonderful memories and very much hope to return.
