Great Resort

Review by Funkidiva08 Petersfield, United Kingdom

We visited Blue Waters in July once travel opened up after having to rearrange our holiday to Antigua 3x.

We upgraded to this resort when we rebooked & I’m very pleased we did.

It’s a family resort so there are children around.

For me the beauty of this resort lies in three key things:

Service - everyone that we encountered was happy to assist.

Nice Touches - Blue waters offers some additional Free of Charge extras which we loved - fruit sticks at 11am & ice lollies at 2pm. Free rum tasting. Free wine tasting...

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary & it was noted & marked accordingly

Food - the food is of excellent quality. Lobster Thermidor & Scallops are included in the AI rate. There was never a bad meal & portion sizes were adequate.

If I had to offer some development areas:

The Adult Pool is quite small & gets busy quickly - only around 8 sun loungers & 2 cabanas if you’re looking to escape the children (which we did). As we were away from the main pools we weren’t serviced as much & had to go & get our own drinks.

Beaches - suffered a lot from seaweed & there are 3 small beaches vs one long stretch. It’s nature though, so can’t expect the resort to change this but just to set expectations.

The highlight for us - the boat trip on the house boat is a MUST!! We loved our trip out at sea & saw lots of the island. Highly recommended.

Congratulations to Blue Waters for being an excellent resort - 1 star knocked off because of the Adult Pool Service provision!

Another day in paradise…

Review by FruitBat01 Kent, United Kingdom

They say you should never go back, so it was with both excitement and some nervousness that we returned to Blue Waters for our second visit 6 years after the first. We could not be happier! it has exceeded our expectations which were already high given our previous visit (review on tripadvisor). This time we stayed in the Cove Suites, the room is large, luxurious, beautifully finished and has the most stunning view (see photo!) we also had Karen as our concierge who did a fabulous job of making sure we had all we needed...

The food is excellent all around the resort, the service is excellent, the staff all wonderful and the setting is fabulous! Some small changes since our last visit like the lunch menu poolside at Carolyns all added to the visit this time. The Cove remains my favourite for its luxurious fine dining setting, but there’s no ‘weak’ dining option here it’s all excellent. Having been elsewhere on the island in the intervening years between visits we have a new found appreciation of the stunning vistas and flora/ fauna of Bluewater which all adds to the feeling that you just stepped into paradise. The resort is small enough to Feel boutique and personal yet large enough to have every facility and experience you could wish for. I’m always slightly cynical to read reviews which call out specific members of staff but sometimes a Barman can make or break a good Caribbean holiday and Liam made it for us! Great cocktails, good conversation and he put up with my endless ‘surprise me Liam you know what i like’ with good humour! He is truly the ringmaster of Veronicas Bar and helps to create an inclusive atmosphere where all are welcome and encouraged to stay a while and chat to other guests. Finally, the highlight of the trip for our son, Kids Club! Our son was just a baby in our last visit, and thanks to covid this was the first real holiday we’ve been on where he was old enough to participate, and he loved it! Led by Ainsley there is a great programme of kids club activities! From fishing to trick or treat on Halloween, arts and crafts, a great range of toys, even lizard catching! (No- not possible! but great fun to try! No lizards were harmed in the making of this review!!) our son opened his eyes each morning asking ‘when can I go to kids club’ Ainsley clearly has the children in the palm of her hand and they love spending time with her, Anne-Marie and the other children. Our son missed one mornings activities (tie dye t shirts!) as we ‘made’ him go on a excursion (which was great and I’ll review separately) but Ainsley took the time and care to ensure the other children made him a tshirt so he wasn’t left out! And that t shirt he now treasures as his new pals made it! That’s just the sort of kind hearted, go above and beyond service you can expect at Blue Waters. Its been 10 days in paradise and I can say without hesitation we’ll be back! And we won’t leave it 6 years this time!

Idyllic, relaxing, stylish, gorgeous and totally wonderful

This resort is the creme de la creme. The attention to detail, the views, the sunsets, the food, the staff, the private villas and pools, the suites, the cleanliness, and the exclusive feeling you get are absolutely second to none. I loved my 10 days here...

It was truly relaxing and magical.

Relaxing break

Review by Mal J Llanelli, United Kingdom

Really nice hotel with excellent staff. We had a beachfront room with a wonderful sea / beach view and the most comfortable bed, room was cleaned daily and the mini bar and coffee replenished daily so could not fault the room. Beautiful powder white sand beach but the sea is a bit murky in this bay, further south and the sea is crystal clear. the all inclusive is pretty good with a choice of 2 restaurants for dinner, the Cove has supplements' for some things which is strange for a 5 star all inclusive. totally enjoyed our stay but would look to stay further south of the island on our next visit.
