Review by treweek Calangute, India

It is not the most modern hotel, however, the rooms are pretty big, AC with a small discreet kitchenette, with toaster, kettle, coffee machine, microwave and full size frig with a big freezer and more importantly ice cube trays with ice cubes in them. Someone said it was shabby, not so, the floor lamps and side lamps are all soilid wood. Really exceptionally comfortable beds...

Indoor and outdoor table & chairs. The floor to ceiling curtains have a black out lining, so most light is blacked out, it is a treat to see the curtains partly open and then the backdrop of the sea which mirror the curtains. The rooms are cleaned contantly, we opt for about 3 times a week. The pools are great and plenty of beds with cushions. The little onsite eaterie is lovely with helpful staff.and does simple food. All the staff are lovely and friendly. Just look at the pool views. There is a sometimes noisy road at the front of the hotel but if you keep the bathroom door closed it doesn't make that much noise. It is also difficult to think if it is the road making the noise or the surf. A tip, little mini busses come along so you wave them down and hop on fast and off fastish and it is a set fee, they are great fun with awful music which is too loud. They usually have destination names at the front, do not be alarmed they are quite safe and the norm.

You couldn’t get closer to the beach !

Review by Kym1961 Slyne, United Kingdom

We had a fabulous stay at this hotel - I wanted beachfront and it certainly is that! We got to watch turtles nesting and hatching and woke up to the most amazing view every day! I only have one criticism - we arrived from the UK knowing that we had to wait in the hotel until we received our test results. When we arrived we were given a sheet of paper with two phone numbers to order take away, but not being local it was difficult to decide what we needed! We were informed the hotel restaurant was only open 7 am to 1 oclock so we couldn’t order any food or drink. After I phoned reception they told me that the concierge could go to the supermarket for us! It would have been very helpful after travelling to be told this upon check in, maybe a shopping list to tick ? There were some local residents using the hotel as their quarantine hotel so probably needed less help/ information . We paid to upgrade to a one bedroom penthouse apartment which we thoroughly enjoyed...

An ideal location to access bars and restaurants in Worthing and Rockley and further afield on the bus . We will definitely be back !

Very spacious right on the beach

Review by umsteadtravel Raleigh, North Carolina

We booked a 1 bed apartment which was really spacious. You get a separate bedroom and bathroom with the bedroom being on the end of the building so no noise from adjacent rooms. Full and adequate kitchen...

The hotel is a little dated. Staff are all great and very friendly. We were here during the COVID quarantine period so could only use the pool at the next door hotel. However, that is no big deal when you know it is for your own safety. Beach is nice to walk but beware is a steep drop and when we were there the surf was pretty rough. There are bars and restaurants as well as supermarkets in walking distance. Great value for money. As a note, we booked through hotels.com and got a better rate than from the hotel directly.
