Pictures are not what you get, no beach at this hotel

Spent Easter Weekend at this hotel. Checking was easy. Staff is quick and friendly. Had breakfast and lunch at the hotel restaurant, tasty and fast service except if the restaurant is busy...

Room is very out dated. Nothing compare to the pictures shown. The restroom door is like a foldup closet door....no privacy, no lock on it just a hook which keep coming out. Other than that the room was clean, great water pressure. Refrigerator works and cools up fast. We were on the third floor, at night the wifi goes off and no one around to fix only the guard answers front desk after 10 at night. The rooms not sound proof so the heavy music on the street you can hear. Music closes off after 1 AM and you can hear it in your room. There is no beach to swim at this hotel. Overall all it was a great resort except for those little things. Love the staff.

Lots of positives but check the location suits you

Review by helenhunt2017 Dudley, United Kingdom

The hotel itself was ideal - good self catering facilities and a nearby supermarket (Worthing) left our spending money free to enjoy nice dinners and cocktails from the great choice of restaurants and bars on The Gap. It was kept spotlessly clean and has it’s own teeny tiny cove of a beach. One of our main reasons for choosing was the rooms all have sea views which did not disappoint. The only thing that stopped the 5 stars was the street noise through to up to 3am. Don’t get me wrong we picked the location however the street facing windows of the apartment have no glass! The slatted shutters offered no sound protection at all from the late night club and outdoor karaoke right opposite - I just don’t get the logic. There are 1 bed apartments that I imagine would mean you have a bedroom door to shut it out so if you’re not a night owl you may want to look into those.

Oasis of calm in a lively area

Review by Dennis D Lytham St Anne's, United Kingdom

Well run and maintained property with beautifully landscaped gardens and a good sized pool. Private postage stamp sized but delightful beach. Helpful reception, friendly staff, and a good all rounder of a poolside bar...

Basically, an oasis of tranquility in a central, lively location. Surrounded by an amazing choice of styles of catering from huts and vans to high end, book only restaurants. Dover Beach to the east and Worthing Beach to the west - absolute heaven.

Perfect Location and Friendly Staff

Review by karenpEdinburgh Edinburgh, United Kingdom

We stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks in November 2021. We had an ocean front studio and it served our purposes very well.

The room was large with a very comfy bed and had a small kitchenette which had a microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, 2 ring stove, lots of plates, glasses, cutlery etc - in fact everything we would need to prepare breakfast which we did daily whilst sitting admiring the amazing view of the Caribbean.

There is a large pool area overlooking the sea with a small beach area where you can enter the sea rock free if you fancy a swim.

Location is right in the middle of St Lawrence Gap, however, we heard no noise at all while in our room - however, there was a 12pm curfew at the time and things were definitely quieter than normal due to COVID.

There is a small launderette where you can get tokens for the machines and washing powder and this was very useful as we didn't need to do the usual mound of washing when we got home.

Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and accommodated our request for a late check out.

Highly recommend if you are looking for something comfortable but not expensive or luxurious in a brilliant location.

Perfect Ending to Birthday Celebration

I recently finished a staycation at Rostrevor for my birthday and all I can say is it was amazing! Upon entry to room I was greeted with a nice bottle of wine, so many thanks to the staff as it was a lovely surprise! The room was clean with a lovely view of the ocean and Southern coast of the island. The best part of my stay however was the service experienced from the staff there - Natalie was a gem from pre-arrival to departure as she ensured I had a great room which (in my opinion) was the BEST room in the hotel! CarolAnn from Housekeeping (hope I got her name right) was extremely sweet as she walked us over to the restaurant although the rain was falling that morning for breakfast. But my favourite of them all was Verna in the restaurant - such a jovial person and it truly was a pleasure seeing her smiling face each morning which set the mood for the rest of our day...

Thank you all once again for quite a memorable stay!
