This newly renovated, luxury beachfront, all-inclusive resort features what many guests say is the best view on the South Coast of Barbados. Nestled on a secluded corner of the south coast of Barbados, this enchanting property is fortunate to have access to two beaches as well as a spectacular view of Oistins Bay. This fabulous establishment is fortunate to be spread over 2.5 acres of lush tropical gardens with mature palms and coconut trees. Also adding to the spectacular beauty of this property is the 1000 feet of beach frontage, which allows guests to have ocean views from just about everywhere on the property. Guests may completely unwind in the spacious and tastefully appointed rooms. Each of them comes with modern comforts to afford truly enjoyable stay. Visitors may pamper their taste buds with enticing dishes served at the 5 hotel's restaurants. There are 2 pools and 2 jacuzzis for adults only and a family pool where children and their parents may luxuriate on warm days.

We had a fantastic stay and, despite noticing some of the things that I’m sure feature in other reviews, they were genuinely minor in the context of what was otherwise a brilliant holiday. We would absolutely return.
The staff are the real standout. We met so many people across front of house, guest ambassadors, housekeeping, bars and restaurants, and without exception they were warm, friendly, funny and incredibly helpful. I’d love to name everyone, but I’d use up the word count! Particular shout-outs to Robert, Roger, Shanese, Fabian, Maria, Sharon and Destiny — thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
The room
We stayed in an Oceanview Junior Suite, which was lovely. It was spacious, beautifully decorated, had a great view, comfortable beds and lovely toiletries. The mini fridge was stocked daily with water, soft drinks and beers, and the room also had gin, rum and vodka.
A nice touch was that the bars were very happy to give you drinks or even a bottle of wine to take back to your balcony — perfect for an evening drink while watching the sunset.
The resort
This is a small/medium-sized, boutique-style resort, rather than a huge, highly polished resort with endless facilities. For us, that was part of its charm and gave it a lovely Caribbean feel.
There isn’t a packed activity programme, although there was still plenty going on during our stay — bingo a few times a week, rum tasting, aqua aerobics, walks to Oistins and along the beach, and a Friday shuttle to the Oistins Fish Fry. The guest ambassadors were also fantastic at helping arrange excursions. We did the Cat and the Fiddle catamaran trip, which we’d definitely recommend.
Evening entertainment was fairly low-key — usually a singer or singers, with karaoke one evening and a DJ another (including on the Saturday beach BBQ). Again, this suited us perfectly.
There are three pools: an adults-only pool, a family pool and a smaller lap pool with loungers in the water. There were always plenty of loungers around the pools and on the beach, and plenty of towels available.
Food and drinks
The food and drinks were excellent. There was a good range of top-end branded spirits and Argentinian wines, and the bar staff were more than happy to make drinks off-menu if there was something specific you fancied.
There are three restaurants. Aqua Terra and Cerulean are à la carte, with the menus changing every three nights and every night respectively.
Mahogany, the buffet restaurant, was unfortunately closed for the first part of our stay. It was originally expected to open after four days but actually took around a week, and when it did open it was only serving breakfast and lunch. It remained closed in the evenings apart from a seafood buffet towards the end of our stay, which was very good.
We would have preferred clearer communication around this, particularly as the themed evening buffets are something we would have liked to experience. That said, the other restaurants and food were so good that it didn’t negatively affect our holiday.
The Tipsy Bar on the beach was also closed for the duration of our stay, which we hadn’t expected. However, the Rum Shop was open during the day, as was the Flying Fish, which also serves lunch — snacks, salads, burgers, pizza etc. — and there was drinks service to loungers around the pools. So there was certainly no shortage of places to get food or a drink.
A few things people may want to know
I had seen reviews mentioning that parts of the resort were looking tired and that some issues could take time to resolve. We honestly didn’t find the resort tired. We thought it was very well maintained. There are inevitably some small snagging-type things, but this is a beachfront hotel where sun, sea air, salt and wind are part of everyday life, so nothing that bothered us.
There was one example of something taking a little time to resolve. My parents had an issue with their shower which they reported, and it took two days to fix. The other shower worked in the meantime, the staff were lovely about it, and ultimately it was resolved. We put the timescale down more to the laid-back pace of the place than anything else.
We had also been slightly worried about seaweed, choppy seas and rain before travelling.
There was some seaweed on our first day, but it completely cleared and didn’t really return. The sea is on the south-western tip of the island, so it isn’t necessarily the completely flat, glass-like Caribbean sea that you might picture. People were swimming every day and we did most days too, although there were a couple of days when the waves were a little too much for my mum. If completely calm sea is essential for you, it’s worth bearing in mind. The pools are lovely, though, and there are other beaches nearby that are very easy to reach by taxi or bus.
The weather was also much better than we’d feared. We had a couple of very short, light showers — probably around five minutes — followed immediately by bright blue skies and sunshine. There was one evening with around two hours of heavy rain, which we actually rather enjoyed with a cocktail on our balcony, and another couple of hours one morning, which we spent reading in the gazebo. Otherwise, plenty of sunshine!
We’d also seen comments about the age demographic. During our stay it was actually quite mixed, although there were fewer families with children, probably because we were travelling in low season.
So, who is this resort for?
If you like laid-back, low-key holidays, outstanding staff and somewhere where you can relax and enjoy the Caribbean atmosphere, I think you’ll love it.
If you’re looking for a huge resort with a constant stream of activities, lots of shops, loud entertainment and a party atmosphere, this probably isn’t the style of resort you’re looking for.
We spoke to lots of repeat guests during our stay, including one couple who had been coming back for 20 years. When we asked them why they kept returning, they simply said there was “something special” about the place.
We completely understand what they meant.
There really is something special about it. We had a wonderful holiday, felt incredibly well looked after, and will definitely be coming back.
We booked Sea Breeze for our wedding and honeymoon in September 2026 after eight months of planning with their wedding team. On arrival nobody knew why we were there. No welcome, none of the wedding package items in the room, and reception asked us to prove we had a wedding booked. Two hours and several emails later we were moved to a room that had clearly been available all along. My wife was in tears within our first hour. The wedding consultation opened with the planner producing a printout of the email we had been forced to send reception and asking "what about this email", then dismissing the choices we had made on the wedding portal months before. On the wedding day itself we were told at the last minute that we couldn't walk down together as agreed because the path was too narrow. Just after 1am on our wedding night the fire alarm went off for twenty minutes. We followed the evacuation notice on our door to the ground floor and found the fire exit blocked by a temporary stud wall, which another guest had to move so we could get out. There was a broken glass door in the fire exit stairwell. The exit signs on every floor were sheets of paper taped to the wall. At the muster point no staff appeared, nobody took a headcount, nobody checked the rooms, and nobody told us when it was safe to go back. Reception said they couldn't leave the desk. Security eventually said it was a known fault that "keeps going off". The fire extinguishers on our floor had service tags that expired in March. The blocked exit was still blocked days later despite the general manager telling us it would be cleared. The rest of the stay: no reliable hot water, a shower that flooded the bathroom floor, a balcony door that wouldn't lock, a toilet that broke and took three calls and 45 minutes to get attended to, cold food in several restaurants including cold meat at the beach BBQ, dirty glasses rinsed and reused at the bars, sunloungers that were broken and in some cases mouldy, cockroaches around the complex including near food prep areas, used plates left in hallways for days, an unsecured luggage hold, and a bar that smelled of sewage. We ate off the resort seven times at our own expense. Three wider red flags. First, general maintenance: broken doors, broken loungers, leaking showers, expired extinguishers. This isn't one bad week, it's a property that isn't being kept up. Second, honesty about low season: we were told one restaurant was closed for maintenance. No maintenance happened all stay. If facilities close in low season, say so when people book, rather than dressing it up. Check what will actually be open on your dates before you commit. Third, management and attitude. We met plenty of rude staff over the ten days, and when we raised the fire safety issues and the rest, the response from the general manager was abrupt, defensive and at times contradictory. Culture comes from the top, and if that is the example being set it's not hard to see why some of the team follow it. A hotel that can't hear feedback can't fix anything, and that is the thing I'd weigh most heavily before booking. To be fair, the beach is beautiful, and there were some excellent people here. Jamie, Sophia, Shonika, Keanna, Deniko, Kim and Sheree were professional, friendly and a credit to the hotel, and the massage therapists were superb. They deserve a better run property. But this is sold as a 4.5 star hotel and it is not managed or maintained like one. The fire safety situation alone should give anyone pause before booking, especially with children. We are pursuing this through our tour operator. If you've already booked: check your fire exits on day one, in daylight, and photograph anything that looks wrong.
My Wife and I travelled here in September. Very nice Hotel, its a beautiful Hotel with vey friendly staff and a beautiful Beach, Nice Swimming pools and Jacuzzi. Breakfast was OK, Lunch buffet was mostly cold, especially the soup. If you went for something to eat at 2pm,there was virtually nothing left. Evening meal was ok but repetitive. mostly Mahi Mahi blackened fish. Once or twice Red Snapper, but overall, not a great experience. Booked a trip with the Guest Services Desk , a Sunset Cruise and collection was arranged for 2.00pm. When we got on the Bus there were people from our Hotel already on it since 1.30. They blamed us for holding up the Bus, but we had been told 2pm and paid a $25 Deposit at Reception. On to the next Hotel, those people had been told 2.30 pick up but arrived at 2.15. they apologised to everyone on the Bus for the delay, but it wasn't their fault either. Next on the Hotel 3, with two more pickups left after that. The people were a no show, and at almost 3pm we had enough and got off and took a taxi back to our Hotel. Another $20. I complained at reception, but they did absolutely nothing. I did not receive a refund for the $45. We had to phone down to Reception one day early on on the vacation as we did not receive any clean Towels. Then discovered the phone wasn't working working and I had to go down to report the issues and they sent up Towels and a "Plumber" to fix the phone, he had brought a new phone with him but it didn't work either. the issue remained unresolved for the entire holiday, despite me reporting it many, many times. Not a great experience, unfortunately.
We booked at Sea Breeze after reading really good reviews, upon arrival (4:30pm) the lobby was busy, we were told to have a seat, as their were several other families waiting to be checked in, they did bring us a welcome drink of choice as well as a cold towel, which was a nice touch!! We arrived to our room after 5pm. The grounds are quite small, clean and tidy , but has a lot of potential, our room was nice, but did notice a sewage smell in the bathroom at times and our sink was slow to drain, otherwise good. Breakfast and lunch were buffet (not great selection) repetitive most days, nothing exciting. Lunch was buffet or restaurant by the pool (burgers, pizza) that kind of thing. We tried buffet for lunch and quickly left for the pool side restaurant. All dinners need to be booked between 730am-1030am we were able to book 3 days in advanced! we found the same menu was served for a couple days at the same restaurant, make sure to ask to see the menu when booking your dinners (we did not at first). I’d rate the food most days 3/5 at best. Presentation of the food was beautiful!! Bbq on beach was ok, seafood night was a let down, seafood was chewing and over cooked. Staff was 50/50, some very pleasant, others were not happy to be there… Nightly entertainment was not great for a younger crowd, (we are 42). We were back in our room by 9am every night. Most guests were at least 60yrs and up, this hotel is not for young people/families, we found it quite boring unfortunately. We will not be returning in the future.
Pros- Lots of chairs by the pool and beach / No reserving chairs! Beach was beautiful!! No sargassum when we stayed. Small resort (if that’s what your looking for) Drinks were good!
Cons- Food options Nightly entertainment No entertainment during the day, that we noticed , other than yoga on select days and water fitness select days.
Staff was very friendly and the resort is located in a beautiful area of Barbados. perfect weather and beaches. Great Sunsets and local to other activities.
