This upscale hotel nestles on the world-famous stunning Crane Beach that is protected by a natural coral reef. Affording a convenient location just 10 minutes' drive to the east of Grantley Adams international airport, the hotel affords a strategic location that allows for a comfortable sense of seclusion, yet is also just a few minutes from the resort centre and the wide array of golf courses, restaurants, nightclubs, shopping venues and much, much more. The truly unique property combines elegance.
The room types include junior suites and 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units and penthouses offering luxurious surroundings, cutting-edge comforts and garden or ocean views. Each of unique dining venues delivers exceptional cuisine and service. Patrons may also indulge in ultimate rejuvenation at the hotel's spa or tone up at the gym. The younger guests are able to participate in the kids' club activities and those arriving by car are able to make use of the hotel car park.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Very disappointing breakfast experience We arrived at breakfast at around 9:20 a.m., while the restaurant was completely full. Out of 8 chafing dishes, 7 were empty. The one in the photo had only a few scraps left. Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time we experienced this during our stay. On multiple mornings, the buffet was left empty for extended periods, despite the restaurant being busy. What was most disappointing wasn't just the lack of food, but the complete lack of communication. No member of staff explained the situation, apologised, or gave any indication of when the buffet would be refilled. Guests were simply left waiting in front of empty serving dishes. A busy restaurant is understandable, but a hotel of this standard should anticipate demand, keep the buffet stocked, and communicate with guests when there are delays. Even a simple apology would have made a difference. Sadly, the repeated lack of food, communication, and basic customer service made breakfast one of the most disappointing parts of our stay.
P.S. I'd like to make it clear that the restaurant staff work incredibly hard. They were always polite, courteous and helpful throughout our stay, and were clearly doing their best under difficult circumstances. This review is aimed at the lack of organisation and management of the breakfast service, not at the staff, who deserve recognition for their efforts.
Is absolutely beautiful. The service is absolutely horrible. Prepared to wait at least 90 minutes in every restaurant for your meal. It's very far from anything worth visiting. 45 minutes to the closest beach without sargassum. You need a car or have to pay for taxis. Nothing within walking distance.
We had a wonderful time at The Crane Resort. The condo was very nice, comfortable, and quite roomy. The plunge pool was an added extra! The pools were awesome with enough sun and shade everyday for the sun and non-sun worshipers. Our daily waiter at the pool was Barry and he was so nice and always had a smile on his face. He deserves extra kudos! The only improvement I can suggest is to have music at the pools. We hope to return.
This resort gets 4 stars because The Crane has the potential to be a 5, but fell short this week. It seemed as if they are repairing and improving the site in preparation for the high season but a few major room issues negatively impacted our satisfaction (2 different rooms). Otherwise the resort offers fairly modern, clean, well-appointed large rooms with plunge pools. In addition there are several delicious restaurants on-site, live music daily, visiting artisans, and boutiques, a general store, a spa, and a weekly BBQ on the beach with live entertainment. The views are incredible, the resort's character --historic buildings, town center, and numerous pools, fountains, koi ponds-- plus the natural environment (frogs, monkeys, roosters and lush grounds) are unique. Most staff were friendly and helpful, yet customer service at the front desk was inconsistent. Re: location-- If you skip the car rental and apply that money to a personal driver, day trips from The Crane are easy and returning after an excursion even easier when you have everything you need in one place. I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Crane Resort in Barbados, and honestly, it was such a beautiful experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, comfortable, and well taken care of.
A special shout-out to Zaria at the reception desk. She was absolutely amazing! Her warm personality, professionalism, patience, and genuine willingness to assist truly stood out. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcomed and that everything was taken care of. People like Zaria are what make a stay even more memorable.
The Crane itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning surroundings, breathtaking views, beautiful pools, and that luxurious yet relaxing atmosphere. But beyond the beauty of the property, it’s the hospitality and the people that really make the experience special.
Thank you, Zaria, for making my stay even more enjoyable. Your exceptional customer service definitely deserves recognition. ❤️
I would highly recommend The Crane Resort to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing and luxurious experience in Barbados. I’m already looking forward to my next visit! 🇧🇧✨
