The hotel is located on the 3 km sandy beach of Grand Anse. Shopping opportunities can be found in the immediate vicinity. It is approx. a 10-minute drive from both the airport and the capital, St. Georges.
This hotel, which was renovated in 2007, is a boutique property with 21 villas and suites. It is air-conditioned and has a lobby, 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, cloakroom, a café, kiosk, conference facilities, Internet and WLAN access, as well as room and laundry services. It also features 2 restaurants, a bar and a cycle hire service. Parking facilities are available to guests arriving by car. Younger guests are sure to enjoy the playground and children's club.
The accommodations are very luxurious and spacious. The villas are beautifully designed in vibrant colours. Villas and suites have covered porches and spacious verandas. Most of the rooms have panoramic views of Grand Anse Beach. The living rooms are elegant and colourful. Most also have a kitchenette, breakfast bar, dressing areas, a hairdryer, satellite/cable TV, Internet access, a safe, fridge and king-size bed. En suite bathrooms, direct dial telephones, radios, hi-fi system, washing machines, ironing sets and individually regulated air conditioning also feature. The nearby beach is sandy and also comes with sun loungers and parasols. Surfing, tennis, volleyball, beach volleyball and badminton are also options. Biking, and entertainment and activity programmes for both young and old are provided (all subject to fees). Grenada Golf Club is about 2 km away (fees apply).
Board packages with breakfast included are available. Meals are served á la carte.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel itself is amazing. Great location and beautiful rooms and decor. Right balance between Caribbean feel and modern. The reception staff were always super friendly and helpful upon greeting you. Laura the manager is very hands on and happy to assist you were needed. The spa services were top notch. The ability to have eat at the hotel or on the beach was a bonus. Shuttle service very handy. Staff always had a smile on their faces and make you feel at home. Would definitely come back again. Not noisy in the slightest. Good value for money and the hotel was neat and clean.
Mount Cinnamon is an absolute gem in Grenada. I stayed here with friends for Spice Mas Carnival and added a few extra days for R&R; it was the perfect choice.
The location is unbeatable. Just minutes from the main carnival events, yet tucked away on a quiet, private stretch of Grand Anse Beach away from the crowds.
The Spanish-style architecture and arched windows give the property so much charm, and the staff were exceptionally warm and helpful throughout our stay. Our Cinnamon Suite was spacious, beautifully appointed, and offered epic sunset views over the water.
My absolute favorite spot was the Beachside Bar & Grill, offering great food, fantastic drinks, and the perfect place to lounge... Pro Tip: Do not skip the ceviche!
I would highly recommended this hotel. Whether you're visiting for carnival or for a quiet getaway. Can't wait to return!
Unfortunately, my experience with this resort was disappointing and ultimately involved a safety and security issue. My stay: Thurs 8/6 - Wed. 8/12.
Before my arrival, I reserved transportation through the hotel for airport pickup. I waited approximately 40 minutes with no driver arriving and no proactive communication from the resort. Only after I reached out to ask what was happening was I told that the driver would not be able to make it because of traffic and that I should take a taxi myself. The resort later offered me a complimentary 30 min massage for the transportation issue, which I appreciated.
The much bigger problem began immediately after check-in.
Upon checking into my room (1A), I discovered that the electronic lock on my door was malfunctioning and I could not get into the room. Within the first hour of my stay, I requested to be moved to another room because of the issue.
I was told that the resort was booked due to carnival and that Room 2A was available that night, but another guest was assigned to it beginning the following day, so I could not be moved there for the remainder of my stay.
Instead, the hotel maintenance attempted to fix my lock, but the problem was never actually resolved.
Every single day of my stay, I had to return to the front desk for assistance because I could not get into my own room w/out help. This was not simply a matter of having a key card reactivated. The lock itself continued malfunctioning throughout my stay.
Then, on Sunday, the electronic lock completely shut down/broke and stopped working. From Sunday until I checked out on Wednesday, I was staying in a hotel room with a door that could not be locked.
I was left w/ instruction from the repair man to "use the safe." Please note, I traveled with two suitcases, a carry on, and all my personal items including laptop, passport, money, plus electronics as I'm a DJ.
When I spoke to the front desk on the phone about this and explained my experience from the beginning, Leticia told me that she understood and when I asked for any resolution the hotel can offer, she said she'd look into it and till this day I have not heard a word back from anyone.
Daily, I tried to communicate to the hotel that THE ELECTRONIC LOCK DOES NOT WORK, however, the hotel kept approaching this as an inconvenience involving a temperamental key card every time, until the lock completely gave out.
The point is, I was a solo female traveler in a hotel room whose entrance door could not be secured. A hotel room located at the basement level of the property.
What's especially frustrating is that the warning signs were there from the beginning and escalated every trip to the front desk.
I was offered no compensation for the ongoing room issue or for ultimately spending the final days of my stay in a room that doesn't lock.
I understand that traffic happens, hotels fill up, and equipment breaks. My issue is with how these problems were handled. I should not have had to repeatedly seek assistance to enter my room throughout my vacation, and under no circumstances should I have spent multiple nights in a hotel room with an open door.
A functioning lock is not an amenity or an optional feature of a hotel room. It's a basic safety requirement.
I spent over $2000 w/ Mount Cinnamon and I left extremely disappointed by the response surrounding something as fundamental as this.
Ultimately, I extended my stay at another hotel as I was given no indication that my concerns would ever be addressed and tried to salvage my trip elsewhere. If you choose to stay here, avoid room 1A.
Great stay... Beautiful rooms and Love the staff! Laura.. Letucia.. Roandle and Markiyah! Hopefully spelling the names right.. Thank you and see you soon 🇬🇩🇬🇭
I had such a wonderful stay at Mt. Cinnamon in Grenada during Spicemas. I was there for a full week, and it was the perfect place to unwind while still being close enough to enjoy everything the island and Carnival had to offer.
The property is beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly well kept, with stunning views and a relaxed Caribbean atmosphere. What really stood out, though, was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely made me feel at home.
After long days and nights enjoying Spicemas, coming back to Mt. Cinnamon was exactly what I needed. It gave me the perfect balance of Carnival energy and quiet relaxation.
I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Mt. Cinnamon to anyone visiting Grenada. A truly special place on a beautiful island! 🇬🇩❤️
