Another great stay

Review by viv f Scottish Borders, United Kingdom

Back again after 2 years due to covid pandemic . The hotel did not disappoint, all staff very friendly and professional, room was nice although the bathroom could do with a bit of maintenance, but nothing major. Food excellent as always. Pool was slightly cold but fine once in. The young lad who made our decaf latte and cappuccino in the morning at the pool bar was fantastic, he made brilliant coffee and such a nice person. One small gripe was that some guests would leave their sunbeds for longer than 2 hours meaning that there was sometimes a shortage of beds for other guests. All in all another fabulous stay and will return next year. Thank you Annabelle Hotel

Nice stay but not 5 star

Review by 280JanB Oxted

Just returned from a B&B stay at the Annabelle. On the whole we enjoyed our stay but did not feel The Annabelle lived up to its 5* rating or some of the highly rated reviews below. Based on our experience, we felt it was overpriced...

The staff were generally friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was very good. However, on our first evening we dined in the rooftop restaurant and asked that the tapas I ordered and main course for my husband, be served at the same time. They were not and the waiter dismissed our concerns in a flippant manner which I thought rude and told him so. Not a great start.

Where we felt the hotel really fell short was on house keeping - we had to request toilet rolls, clean glasses & plates (which incidentally were washed in the bathroom and put back), and flannels. Also on general cleanliness - there was a milk shake spilled by the pool which was still there 2 days later so the terrace had not been cleaned. I also spilt a little Feta cheese on our outside terrace table which was still there, uncleaned, when we left. We were also disappointed to see that smoking was allowed around and in (when at the pool bar) the swimming pools.

On maintenance, our bed was poor quality and creaked terribly. Our bedroom (157) had clearly suffered a leak from the bathroom the had caused the skirting to rot and break and there was evidence of damp patches having been painted over.

A booking made for a hire car was not documented properly and when we asked for a recommendation for a good local restaurant we were told that none could be given as "they couldn't guarantee the quality of the food" which was a strange and unhelpful, response we thought.

This was our first visit to Cyprus and we would go back but would not stay at The Annabelle again.

Just had a stay at hotel Annabelle in pathos.it has gone down in my estimation. The first morning went down for breakfast we at to ask for coffee and when it eventually arrived I asked for a teaspoon and to which I was told there was none and to use my finger I also noticed they was passing used bottles of water from table to table then I went to use the salt and pepper to which there was nothing in went to the next table and that was the same also the milk jugs they put on table for your coffee and tea they was topping them up and passing it on to other people .in my eyes none of this should have happened it was a big let down

Wonderful hotel, impeccable staff, fabulous holiday!

Review by jomO5692CS

From our arrival to departure this hotel, and all its wonderful staff, made our holiday truly relaxing and surpassed our expectations. It is a bit expensive, but the quality of all amenities and furnishings are very high. We had opted for half board and the choice of restaurants and quality of food was quite remarkable. Our particular favourites were the Breakfast buffet (excellent chef), and also Mediteraneo...

Book early in your stay to get the times you want; just a tiny bit of planning at the start of the holiday will pay dividends.

The pool areas are spotless and well attended by the bar staff all day.

We cannot wait to return.

September Vacation

Review by 729taylor London, United Kingdom

We have visited this hotel on numerous occasions which have always been thoroughly enjoyable. Although COVID meant that changes had to be made to the dining arrangements, it gave residents an opportunity to sample the 3 individual restaurants en-site. As always, the staff were eager to please and were always helpful and friendly...

We enjoyed a room with a sea view which had plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. The reserving of sun loungers by some was a problem although this appears to occur at most hotels. We would definitely recommend The Annabelle for those travellers who enjoy comfort and excellent hospitality.
