Choose the Imperial Island by Louis Hotels in Paphos for your Mediterranean holiday and you'll see some of the best that Cyprus has to offer. Sample some of its vibrant present and its culturally rich past, all under those sunny Mediterranean skies. Paphos is the perfect spot for sightseeing, sunbathing and swimming. There are wonderful views out over the harbour, great shopping, amazing relics of the past and a rich tapestry of sights and sounds.
The Imperial Island by Louis Hotels lets you experience it all. That's if you can drag yourself away from the hotel of course. With its wonderful facilities and smart, chic ambience, it's so much more than a holiday base; it's a genuine holiday retreat.
Set in extensive grounds with well-manicured lawns (and as many shady spots as there are sun traps), the Imperial Island by Louis Hotels is a delightful place to relax. Like Paphos it seamlessly combines old world charm with modernity. You'll admire the clean sweep of the public areas – its open restaurant and cocktail bar – all wonderfully polished and spacious. There's a real feeling of tradition here too, and a devotion to good old-fashioned values.
Of course the sun reigns supreme over Cyprus and the Imperial Island by Louis Hotels is one of the best places to enjoy it from. With vast spaces given over to sunbathing you'll always find a suitable spot to catch some rays.
And assuming there's any time left between the exploring and sunbathing you can make the most of the indoor and outdoor pools and the leisure club with its sauna, Jacuzzi and massage facilities.
You'll find your twin room spacious and inviting. With a private bathroom and balcony, and facilities including satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities, a radio and minibar, you'll be very comfortable indeed. Rooms are complete with air-conditioning from May-Oct, and heating from Nov-Apr.
If Paphos is one of the jewels in the crown of Cyprus, then the Imperial Island by Louis Hotels is one of its finest places to stay. Relish the experience.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The Imperial Island by Louis Hotels is ideally located on the shore within walking distance of Paphos's busy centre and with magnificent views of the famous harbour and its old castle. It has extensive grounds leading to the sea and these house a swimming pool and vast sunbathing areas. There is also an indoor pool (Heated November to April).
Very nice hotel and the staff is very helpful. The rooms are very comfortable, fancy and really clean. The staff is absolutely perfect and many thanks to Froso eho helped us with every quation we had and make sure that we had a lovely time. Another mention goes to Mostafa from the restaurant who is working so hard and he was always next to us and serve us in the outside area. The sunbeds are very comfortable and nice.
I highly recommend this hotel
Jet2 Advertised this hotel as 5 star, it was a high 3 / low 4 at best.
The hotel looks like its had a rushed refurb... done by Stevie Wonder. I think my 6 year old could have done a better paint job. The TV in the room was also put up by Stevie, it annoyed me so much I ended up fixing it myself.
The Room We had a family room with a weird divider that did nothing but make the room look smaller and more claustrophobic, the bed was extremely hard and small (Im an average height and weight male and my wife is petite). Air con worked, sliding door to the bathroom didnt close fully.
No Iron in the room, I called reception they sent one up, which stayed with us for a week, the hair dryer was terrible, good for drying not for styling.
The weirdest thing I have ever encountered in a hotel room is some sort of wraps in the fridge that stayed there all week, no context of what they were. Where they for us? Where they left there by the previous guest? They weren't covered just sat there festering all week.
Only all inclusive hotel I have stayed at where drinks were not replenished in the fridge only water. You get a few on arrival but after they are gone its only water.
Maid Service Whilst frequent, it's literally a sheet and towel change, maybe a quick mop. Floors were still dirty.
Food Breakfast was ok Lunch - quite boring not many options Dinner - also boring, not many options
We ended up eating out most nights, as the food is not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel.
Pool This is where I dont believe many hotels on the planet get it right, the amount of people putting towels down only to never be seen all day is really annoying. In the end I had to join them and get up at 7am. Although we only occupied two beds since the kids were in the pool all the time. I think if everyone did this it would be ok.
However the hotel does have another option, there are many beds on the grass and lots more space around the pool. They do not need all the outdoor seating area for the restaurant this would almost certainly solve the issue.
The waiters around the pool are really good and work really hard.
Entertainment I will describe as Butlins from Temu, felt like I was in a lecture hall, kids running havoc everywhere. Went once never to return.
Location The location was actually pretty good, taxi to the harbour was about 10 euro each way, Kalua across the road was nice. Ocean Basket at the Harbour was our favourite, prices locally are really reasonable.
I would not recommend if your preference is 5 star as this falls very short, but if you want a reasonable family holiday on a budget then this will do the job.
Im not saying this is the worst hotel I have stayed at but it does fall short of our preference, the pictures did a lot of heavy lifting and being newly opened the reviews where limited.
The new refurbished hotel is immaculately clean. The staff, and entertainment are amazing 👏 a big shout out to yuseef our barman and derek the lifeguard. You made our holiday fabulous so thank you. Same time next year !!!
Another excellent holiday at this hotel,do not have a bad word to say,the staff are very friendly and helpful and cannot do enough for you,it is in an excellent location about a 25 minute walk to the harbour, since the refurbishment the rooms are very spacious with plenty of storage and the beds are some of the most comfortable we have slept in,I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking of holidaying in Paphos,we will hopefully be back next year for our 4 time.
We have just got back from an amazing 10 night stay here! This is my 4th time staying at this hotel, the first time since the refurb and what an improvement! The things I loved most about this place were the comfy sunbeds which you didn’t have to fight for unlike other hotels! The staff are the kindest people you will ever meet, they can’t do enough for you! Yousef is a credit to this hotel, always laughing, dancing and remembering our favourite drinks! The food is amazing, the best I’ve ever had at an all inclusive hotel! Only improvement I would suggest is the entertainment to be mixed with some tribute nights like they used to have. The new entertainment could sometimes be a bit childish and slightly boring with bingo nights. That being said the entertainment team are very talented and so friendly - always making time to say hello during the day. Life guard Derek was amazing, he would make towel animals when you were at lunch. We would 100% return in the future as we had the best time!
