Can't fault it!

Review by Anne M Cheshire

Staying here now in an apartment (Narkissus block). Apartments are great, spotlessly clean, fully equipped with everything you need for a summer holiday. Beds are very hard though...

Staff are friendly and helpful. We're staying on a B&B basis, lots of choice of food, both hot and cold. Can't comment on pools as haven't used them but they seem busy and the areas around them are clean. Quite a few cats around, always the same cats so possibly they belong to the complex (not a problem for me as a cat lover) As the title says, "can't fault it" - would definitely stay at Paphos Gardens again if we returned to Paphos .

Poor Quality

I paid for an apartment, when I arrived it was not what I had booked. Some items were missing, I think the pictures were enhanced or been taken 20 years earlier. It was in poor repair, outdated, smelt, in addition to no view, tatty surroundings...

I was moved to the main building. This was equally poor the room was small and outdated. The TV did not work, the bathroom smelt it was all in all very poor. Although, slightly better than the apartment. The alleged entertainment, was outdated. I felt like I had moved back in time to the 70's. The pool area was basic but nice. There are good facilities/play area for children. The breakfast was good. All the staff are very nice and helpful. Room service was basic - towels not changed daily, nor is the bed. I would never return.

Pretty basic

Review by mililly 100oscar

Here now. Didn't pay alot for b and b but it is pretty run down and tired looking. Don't think the pools been cleaned once whilst I've been here and the children's pool ia disgusting...

Breakfast is OK although I have had better at other 3 star hotels..rooms clean but very tired decor.

In need of lots of maintenance and cleaning up

Review by caycos Wellington, New Zealand

Not recommended - the whole place felt rundown and in need of a really (really) good re-development. We were very pleased we only stayed one night. One of my friends was in another apartment (in the Jasmine block) and it reeked of cigarettes and maybe other substances too - he couldn't sleep in there so had to crash on our adequate couch. It didn't feel very safe, and we had to ask for one of the windows in our room to be locked - required a wrench to do it! If you manage to get a room that doesn't smell very bad, it was adequate for what it was - but really I'd suggest you go elsewhere.

Had a great holiday

Review by ZebedeeJen Rotherham, United Kingdom

OK, I can agree with some reviews that the place is a little tired looking in places and in need of some TLC but bear in mind we're just coming out of 2 years of pandemic which has financially hit the travel and tourism industry hard. It's obviously something that is being addressed as we saw repairs being carried out before we left. Look beyond this though and you've got a brilliant hotel in a lovely setting...

We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment (Narcissus 101) which although it was next to a road was so peaceful and had a patio/garden area to sit and relax in. Plenty of room inside for 3 of us, even with the extra bed in the living room area. Mattress on the spare bed was a bit on the thin side so we asked for another mattress... problem solved!

Main hotel was a decent size. 2 bars, large pool (there is another pool near the apartments but we didn't use it) and kids pool. Games area outside and a pool table inside. Large lobby area with plenty of seating and entertainment every night (including the infamous mini disco for the kids!)

Food was great - we were AI and ate in the hotel every morning and night. Always plenty to choose from (and it wasn't the same every night as others have commented)and all freshly cooked and piping hot. We had a vegetarian in our group and a slightly picky teenager and they always had enough to eat! Themed nights such as Italian, Cypriot and Chinese so lots of variety. Staff are happy to tell you what dishes are so if you're not sure so just ask...they wont bite! I even had the chef part with his recipe for the herby potatoes!

So that leads me on to the staff and these guys are some of the best I've come across! They are all so friendly, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. First impressions count and Modestos (aka Domestos!) and Christella who were on reception when we arrived definitely gave us a a great first impression and by the end of our stay we were like old friends!

One last thing to mention...the cats. Yes there are a lot of strays but they're not your typical flea infested, scrawny and filthy strays. We had a couple of long haired who liked to spend time on our patio and their fur was so clean and soft, not matted at all, so they must be looked after by some kind people.

Right, enough reading now...go and get your holiday booked!
