Little hidden gem!!

Review by dinalli Shildon, United Kingdom

Absolutely beautiful little hotel hidden away behind the aloe hotel in a little residential area near the beach. Staff are wonderful and very helpful and friendly. Nikos and elena on reception are fab!! We asked for a top floor with a sea view (which in most hotels you have to pay extra for!!) And the room was splendid...

(223) Clean and very comfortable. Nice little balcony with superb sea views and also pool view...pool was enormous but very cold. (Well it was February?? Sunny weather tho??) Loads of sunbeds. The great thing about this place tho was the free indoor pool and gym. There is also a spa (jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms but jacuzzi wasnt working!) But this is €7 a day. Well worth it when we had one day of torrential rain!! We only did b+b so never sampled the evening food but breakfast was basic but good and lots of choice but same everyday. A lot of shops, restaurants are closed (out of season) but head a couple of mins walk towards harbour and you'll find bars, restaurants aplenty..try whynot? Bar...kareem is brilliant..serves gorgeous pizzas, burgers, pasta and cheap beer and with 6 big screen tellys to watch football on its heaven!! Highly recommend this great hotel. Lovely cats too!!

Great hotel

Review by billythomson greenock scotland

Just spent a week in this lovely hotel, staff were excellent, only one bad point, bar at reception had no local brandy for 3 days, bar staff were trying to push imported brands that were much more expensive, on enquiring at Reception on the third day I was told that the pool bar had local brandy, but the bar staff at night just couldn't be bothered to go and look, all other staff were well mannered & reception staff just couldn't do enough for you, hopefully will be returning next year

Last minute break

Review by mrlibraryman Liverpool, United Kingdom

We decided to have a last minute get away and found this hotel. I wasn't expecting the Savoy or the Ritz. However, I was very pleasantly surprised, our room was clean (as you would expect) and very spacious...

The beds were made up every day and the room tidied. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were half-board so ate in the dinning room the food was on a hot and cold buffet. There was a good selection, about four choices of hot meals, and a good range of salads. The desserts were good and there was plenty of choice. The only downside was breakfast, you had a range of cereals or toast bread etc. There was always the option of a cooked breakfast too. This was the downside the strips of bacon resembled my leather belt! Nevertheless the test of any hotel is would you stay there again. My answer is YES we would. It is a great budget option for a last minute get away.

Mixed bag really

Review by JaneWard_12 Barnsley, United Kingdom

Really its strange summing up our holiday at the hotel and of the area situated or as it transpires Paphos itself it was so much in contrast . Both my friend enjoyed the stay at this hotel ,the food was delicious the staff were faultless and really couldn't do enough for guests. The hotel itself was luxurious but for what we paid one cant expect 5" accommodation and some of the guests did except they hadn't paid for it !! Lovely finishing touches such as free afternoon tea coffee and absolutely gorgeous cakes served daily and a lovely welcoming log fire blazing in the hotel lounge ...

The rooms were pretty basic but clean we were early session and of course a lot of the entertainment provided hadn't yet commenced either in the hotel or surrounding bars and restaurants but a short bus journey into town and things were a little busier and lively. The biggest disappointment were the beaches which were either non existent or gravel/seaweed a few tiny sandy bays to be found but again often litter with an abundance of washed up debris unfortunately the weather didn't lend its hand to sunbathing or indeed using the outdoor hotel pool although the indoor pool sufficed Would we return ? Categorically not although no fault of the hotel but the whole of the resort was swarming with cats and I mean swarming just everywhere you went not just around this hotel AL Lthe surrounding hotels had them we witnessed them laying on sunbeds drinking from pools and kittens having kittens Please take heed ! Its a cat lovers paradise , unfortunately I don't include myself in the latter and although arriving home less than 24hrs ago cant seem surmount the reek of Tom spray from my nostrils
