Combining the wonderfully laid-back quality of a true family-run hotel with the facilities and amenities you'd associate with a big name chain, the Veronica Hotel is quite the surprise. Situated in attractive gardens, and benefitting from an excellent location, close to shops and restaurants, it's a great choice for anyone holidaying in Paphos. And Paphos is a great choice of resort for anyone holidaying in Cyprus. It's got everything you want from this part of the world – the history, the culture, the sand, the sea and the altogether different pace of life, all wrapped up in one fascinating city.
Set in its own wonderful gardens, the Veronica Hotel combines charm and style to great effect. Inside, cool stone tiled floors throughout give it that distinctive Mediterranean feel. While its soft furnishings and comfortable chairs give it the feeling of a comfortable home away from home too.
The outdoor swimming pool is fringed with trees, giving it a Caribbean feel, and offering lots of cool shade to relax in, pre or post swim. We certainly recommend an afternoon dip, a snooze and a little something from the pool-side snack bar or some time in the games room.
Then if you fancy a siesta, you'll find your room wonderfully conducive to a pleasant afternoon nap as well as a peaceful night's sleep. The clean, white walls and tiled floors keep that fresh cool vibe going, and make each room a quiet haven away from the holiday hustle and bustle.
All twin-bedded, en suite rooms are air conditioned and feature a private balcony. And a little part of every day should certainly be spent on the balcony with a cool drink in hand. Rooms also feature phone, TV and hairdryer. A mini fridge is available on request.
As well as the poolside snack bar, the Veronica Hotel in Paphos features an expansive restaurant. The tall beams and crisp linen reinforce that lovely sophisticated air –while the cosy table settings make for all sorts of possibilities: romantic meals for two or big clusters of friends all enjoying dinner together.
The Veronica Hotel in Paphos is one of those special hotels. It's a place that will quickly feel like home. And it's a hotel you'll want to return to next time you're in Paphos. We're sure there will be a next time…
This charming family run hotel is situated in attractive gardens near to a selection of shops and restaurants. The famous Paphos harbour and castle are also within easy reach. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool with a pool side snack bar where you can relax and enjoy lunch.
We visited Cyprus on our honeymoon in 1988 and decided to visit Cyprus again this year for our 32nd anniversary..although we didnt stay at the Veronica hotel we wanted to visit this place for old times sake as we had very fond memories of this family owned hotel in 1988. It had changed a lot from the front and we went in for a drink, explaining to the reception desk why we had come. It's such a shame that the hotel has lost its warmth in greeting people - I suppose it's called progression!.....
we had a quick look around- bought back many lovely lovely memories!.. we rode around Cyprus on a little moped with any helmets in those days..and one morning in the moment of showing off my husband sped out of the hotel and we both fell off it..we limped back in and the hotel owner bought some iodine to our room to put on our little wounds..and then gave us free drinks in the evening..its those little things we will not forget.. we still remember the hotel as it was then and not now..memories are strong ...
No porters to help get your luggage to rooms on arrival guided to lift but when you get out there was still 5/6 short flights of steps to go up and down to then find a lift around the corner that went to the floor we needed Reception staff and waiters were friendly and Diana in the bar was lovely Food repetitive Swimming pool filthy Cleaners moody and room wasn't ready on arrival Very noisy while we there due to football teams staying with nothing to keep them entertained Check hotel website as well as booking site they are very different hotel website being the true one
On arrival greeted by a friendly guy on reception. Our room surpassed expectations as had not booked a pool view but actually had a superb view with sun on our balcony until 1ish. The room was spotless with a table and chairs inside and on the balcony. This you do not find in many budget or premium hotels...
The best hair dryer I have ever had in an hotel ! The pool area including the showers and toilets were again spotless as were the communal areas. A charming young lady served in the bar with very reasonable prices. Now the downside. Food. Which was unfortunately only Luke warm on all occasions. There was a fairly good choice but it was not to a good standard even for a budget hotel. Ok we didn’t starve but the experience left a lot to be desired. The best thing was the scrambled egg at breakfast! Which is hardly the way you want to remember a hotel by. We were the last people in the hotel before it was forced to close for the coronavirus. We hope they can weather the storm and then perhaps improve the food. The location and hotel itself was very good.
First time at this hotel but will certainly go back. Reception was excelent when we arrived allowing us to have our evening meal before registering as we would have missed it. All staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough...
Food was good and some of the themed evning meals were very nicely presented. Room was spotless and had regular cleaners. Very regular bus service from right outside the hotel and very cheap. Only down side was a member of staff was unusually friendly with a guest. That said, the guest was quite obviously infatated with the staff member and made it qute obvious in the dining room.
I have just returned from my 4th visit to this hotel and it continues to please.the staff are exceptionally friendly and professional in their work. You are greeted by name and made to feel most welcome. It is a family owned Cypriot hotel with the owner living on site...
The hotel is spotless. Bedrooms are nicely furnished with towels and bed linen changed frequently. The meals are buffet styled with plenty of choice and variety. It is a short walk to the sea and a bus stop is by the hotel which takes you to the harbour for anyone who finds walking a little difficult. There is a lounge for relaxation and a bar. There isn’t entertainment on an evening but i found it nice to chat with other guests, there are bars in the vicinity if you wish music etc. The pool area is lovely with palm trees, banana plants and orange trees, lovely to sit in sunshine and listen to the birds singing. Always plenty of sun beds available. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to The Veronica Hotel
