Rhodes

This elegant luxurious hotel is located in the middle of stunning greenery on a hill, overlooking the beach of Ixia, which is accessed just over the promenade which is 100 m away. The glamorous building, which is based on architecture from the Middle Ages is stylish and designed in classical, elegant décor. This luxury, air-conditioned hotel has a small supermarket, which is convenient for guests who might have forgotten to pack something. For families, our Iliades restaurant, provides highchairs for children too. Guests will find comfortable rooms that come with an en suite bathroom and the necessary amenities waiting for them.

Amazing, our third time!

In 2018 we visited Rhodes Bay for the first time. We never go back to a place of a second (or third) time; but this place is totally worth it. The staff is so friendly and willing to help all the time...

The hotel and rooms look amazing and are clean, the food is great... We are looking forward to our fourth time already!

One remark serious remark to the hotel: please fix the marmble stairs at the pool (the one from the entrance to the pool on the ground floor). Every day I had to be really carefull because the stairs is very slippery, due to cleaning and the water. On the last day, I actually felt quite hard on my back (luckily some other guests helped me). My lower back was bruised and my tailbone still hurts 3 months later when I sit. I am young and quite flexible, but an older person can fall way more dangerous. I also told this to the reception: please arrange some anti-slip mats or something to hold on. Hopefully it will be fixed when we will come back next time!

Lovely and relaxing

Review by Annelize_UK Cambridge, United Kingdom

After what felt like forever, and having to rebook destinations a couple of times, we ended up in Rhodes Bay Hotel & Spa. We opted for a bungalow, which I understand from other reviews are not yet refurbished to the same modern standards as the rooms. Did I care? No...

The bungalows are located on the same level as the rooftop swimming pool (which is a quiet one), and the main bar, and one level above the main restaurant, so it doesn't get much better than that!.

The room - sure a little rough around the edges, but it was always clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning was effective and quiet.

I liked the bar - we went there every evening before dinner (and sometimes after) and they give you a sealed pot of mixed nuts with your drinks. Cocktails were nice too.

The buffet restaurant was very good - unfortunately too good, so I refused to weigh myself when we returned! A great selection of food every evening, and we also used the themed restaurants, which were also tasty (however, they serve far too much food, and we wasted too much at the Greek restaurant - it's a set menu and it's huge).

It was nice that everyone adhered to the mask mandate, and the frequent sanitation, temperature checking, and availability of hand sanitizer were comforting.

This was a perfectly relaxing holiday, without irritating/inconsiderate people, and I'm really glad we went. The only small glitch was that someone had charged a cocktail to our room, but the hotel waived that when we indicated the signature on the bill was someone else's.

I highly recommend this resort.

In a word, fabulous!... (but don’t take the bus!)

Review by Mrs_C00per Exeter, United Kingdom

Absolutely perfect! The rooms and spa are clean and fresh smelling. The staff are so attentive and always smiling, made me think I was back in the States! Two minor things though - one, I know it’s probably for allergy reasons, but could the linen be washed with a scented conditioner? They didn’t smell at all… but that was part of the problem! I like a scented pillow, maybe add a scented linen spray that people can use if they wish? Also, if you’re more that one person and make using public transport, take a taxi!! The buses are actually more expensive, if you’re going one way! £7 in a cab and £7.80 on a bus (for 2). But these things are very minor - and the buses are obviously not the hotels problem - and didn’t take away from a fabulous couple of days. Breakfast was tip too too… Perfectly poached eggs on a buffet style breakfast?! It made my week. Fabulous visit, fabulous amenities, fabulous staff, fabulous food… in a word, fabulous! Hi

Unless you book into the Elie suites part of this hotel, dont bother

Review by adelebackhouse Stalybridge, United Kingdom

Just finished writing a very long winded email to Jet2holidays about this apparent 5* Hotel. We believe we have been mis-sold the holiday. We Holidayed here last month (8th Oct- 10 nights All inclusive) We paid £900 pound EACH for all inclusive or so we thought. Apparently here All inclusive doesnt mean that at all. Bars- x2 close at 11.30 (not midnight) wine/beer & spirits are terrible Food - cold/greasy & not for veggies/diabetics One pool (indoor) out of use untill next season (covid/maintenance they said) Another pool exclusively for 'Elite suites guests' Sunset bar - only for 'Elite suites' Spa - only for 'Elite suites' Beach sunbeds - section in garden , only for Elite suites Vakarola Restaurant- only for 'Elite suites' Night time Entertainment-none, unless, of course you were in the Elite suites......you get the picture?

In fact unless you want to be made feel like a 2nd class citizen , I would advise to book in at the Elite suites but with Jet2holidays we didn't even know there was a 2nd hotel within this hotel! Believe me, I'm no snob but forget it unless you booked in the the Elite suites. I looked them up once we returned home, the week we went was £4000 So that tells you why we were treated like the underclass, not enough of put hard earned cash had been parted with.

An unbelievable experience, the staff is all very polite, helpful and friendly!!! Very nice sea view. The food was so tasted and plenty!! We enjoyed the pools and the beach as well. Moreover, you feel safe from Covid-19.
